Ooh 'eck Di I told him to wear his coat, but he said his wool jacket would be enough in the car   There does seem to be a lot of IT round there Di ;)

Waiting for parcels is the pits, but usually I'm spoiled as Mick is generally here to take in any deliveries ;) Am going to check with D (MIL) to see if I can go up there later today instead :) I like to get up there at least once during the week and then we pop in over the weekend generally at some point.........she's a very independant and active lady, but as she lives alone we like to do that - and anyway I enjoy her company :)

Morning all
2 sleeps to go till i have a new set of keys. :D
the bathroom here is so close to being finished it's teasing me. If we had managed to get the shower rail up tonight i would now be sitting here with freshly washed hair. Instead, we got the holes drilled through the tiles, but none of the four holes found a stud. guess hubby's measurements were a bit out. so since we dont have the right bits n bobs to go in the holes, then it has to wait till tomorrow till hubby gets to the hardware store after work. (que the head banging smiliy)
oh well, either way, i will have a shower on Friday.

hope it's not getting to cold there for you all. It's starting to get nice and warm here. rained all day though, well that annoying drizzle that does nothing except look grey and wet. really humid here too, so i suppose we will have some thunderstorms later in the week. yay, just in time for a moving truck...

slippy icey and cold here but no snow as yet, someone up there likes me as we were supposed to go to the quiz this evening with husbands brother and wife....and they have just rang to cancell....YES!! I'm off to see the nice man who put a new joint in my finger earlier this year, I have made him a book mark in bobbin lace as a thankyou and as there isn't another joint without a screw or a Titanium replacment on either hand...I shouldn't have to see him again. :D

Morning all :) No snow here thank goodness. I hope it holds off for a while as we are driving down to Devon tomorrow for our dance holiday.
Bits and bobs to do today for our trip. Just filling in the forms for Jasper as he will be staying with a nice lady who looks after dogs in her home. So Jasper gets a nice holiday too.
I need to pop into Salisbury today and see if I can get some low heeled dance shoes. All mine have high heels and I really need something more comfortable to practice in.
Have a good day everyone and big hugs to the poorly ones (((((((((hugs))))))))) keep warm and safe xxx

Hi Kaz, yes I've been a lace maker for 24 years and still learning...it's an amazing craft and very absorbing, go on youtube and write in lacemaking to see some very clever people.

Good afternoon all! It's so sunny here and the sky is clear blue - it's flippin' freezing though and so icy underfoot :?

Weka, moving day is SO close!!! Yay! :D

Fudgie, I wish I was 'crafty'. That gene bypassed me I'm afraid. With you mentioning lacemaking, when I was little there was a lady who lived near to us and she used to do tatting. I'd go with my sister and we'd sit in her kitchen in front of the Aga whist she taught my sister to tat, it was amazing to watch her work.
You'll have to post some pictures of your work, I'd love to see it :)
