I always look at the reduced shelves too, but that's one thing they don't have at Aldi!

We have two freezers in the garage but one is the newer type that gives up the ghost when the temperature drops. We have no room in the kitchen for them so when there is a very cold spell we have to cram the stuff from there in the other freezer too, which is quite difficult and reduces our capacity no end. Hubby did rig up a device to override the thermostat, but even this gives out in the coldest weather.

I think I will be getting my meat fresh just before Christmas if arrangements go according to plan, but I have a lot of stuff for the Christmas period in the freezer now and space is very limited indeed.

It seems that some freezers aren't designed to work outside of the house - we made sure our new one was compatible with being used in a garage as there is nowhere in the house for it to go What a nuisance for you Rodo
