It's been blowing a hooley for most of the day and we till have a white/grey sky.

Fires are popping up all over the place, there are almost 4,500 bombeiros on the ground and 28 aircraft up in the sky

And the police are arresting quite a few people who have lit the fires, either by accident or deliberately

How do you light a fire accidentally?

Probably like the people up here MM who a couple of years ago thought it was a good idea to have a bbq on a moor badly affected by drought.
The inevitable happened, they accidentally set fire to the parched grass and the fire burned for days.

Chuck a cigarette out of the car window, be a moron like next door and cut your grass with a metal blade (if I see him doing it, I'll be taking a video and reporting him, I don't care how much they hate me - he's dangerous)

But some people actually like to light fires and then some people, especially the older one's, have always cleared their land, ready for the winter, by burning the stubble.

We had a load of cars burnt out a couple of years ago, at a festival. They were all parked in a field and the heat from the exhausts set the grass alight
