We are already going a day early, we always do, as a precaution against flight delays. The problem is not our departure airport, it is Southampton. Flybe used to fly there from Dublin but they went bust. Loganair took over more recently but obviously the route is not working for them as they have cancelled it entirely. Our other best option is Gatwick which has a train to Southampton. After much working out times, costs etc. we will now fly in and out of Gatwick and train to and from Southampton, all booked. I’m exhausted!
