I have a marveloous tin opener Haven't triedit on a corn beef tin but very good on souup cans and similar ones. Even has two jaws to lift the
top off. It is Geman. Will have to buy a tin of corn beef and try it.

I had one I brought home form Germany.

You put it on at an angle then turned it till it locked and then it opened like a brake lever on a bike - squeeze, squeeze and the can started to open. Shame it only lasted about 12 years.
