I use a microwave for three things.

1) Warming up milk for my coffee
2) Storing frozen food in whilst it is defrosting
3) Keeping the open tub of dog food and her mixing bowl and spoon on top of.

And that's it. If it weren't for the fact I detest washing milk pans I would get rid of the thing altogether.

I defrost things in it - meat especially as I always forget to take it out of the freezer on time - part cook jacket spuds, warm up sauces, custard, soup, all kinds of things :D

I use mine loads, especially the convection oven bit of it.

Veg always get cooked in it; meat defrosted, food warmed up... I couldn't do without. But probably because I think (and not sure if I'm right or wrong) that taking 5 mins in the microwave to cook veg will be cheaper than 10 mins it'll take on the hob?

I use mine a lot, it's a convection one too but I've hardly used that on this one. I've usually had them with that function though and in the past have found it very useful.
I love it for whipping up a quick jam sponge pudding too, and for heating up the custard for it :P
