Morning all :D

Thick snow and sunshine, but the temp is still minus 1, it's very windy so it probably feels might cold out there.

Has Mrs.E had her tests yet Cruiser, might be a good idea to speak to your GP.
We're on the South East coast Crommers, just 10mins walk from the seafront, sunbathing is most definitely off the menu
Glad to hear you've had the jab WM.

Our Tesco delivery arrived on time yesterday. Felt sorry for the driver, he said main roads were fine, but all the others were covered in snow. He actually got stuck half way up a hill, had to reverse back down and then carry all the shopping up on foot :o Absolutely nothing happening today so another groundhog day beckons.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and warm xx

Hi all - yep groundhog day here also, yet another day of doing nothing at all, sat in or on the bed. You'd think I was poorly!!

It's Tom's birthday on Saturday and I haven't got him anything, not even a card as yet so I thought I'd go online to see what I could find. All of the card sites seem hell bent on having rude ones, and I'm no prude, but honestly it's not the sort of card I'd send anyone - good old Amazon has done the trick! He'll have to wait until we are allowed out before he gets a gift from me, I can't even click and collect!!

I had a good idea earlier, we have a travel kettle so I grabbed it, plus some coffee, sugar, milk and some choccie and brought it upstairs so now I can stay here literally all day! We have no thermos flask, BTW...well we may have but I CBA to look for it. I have a couple of painting jobs I could be doing but might sort them later on. The landing skirting board is a bit scuffed and I gave a wicker chair one coat of paint ages back but it needs a second, it's currently sat in the dining room waiting .....

Glad you've had your jab WM!

Sunny here with frequent heavy snow showers, and COLD!!!! Heating on all day again, I'm dreading my next bill!!

Take care all xx

Yes, I hope Jo is OK and that MrsCruiser picks up.
We have just had word from FiL's care home that he has been very vacant for the last few days and the doctor is going tomorrow.

We have been to Sainsbury's this morning and got a few bits for our daughter and for Sergio as well.
Sergio's ex is a wonder. She has their son living with her, until recently was getting up at 3am to go to work and has her 90 odd year old parents to look after as well. They are very demanding and every time she goes they have lost something - car keys, TV remote, anything - and it's her job to find it.
Now she has Sergio's trouble as well and she's moved in with him. It's very touching. As I say, she's a marvel.

I wonder how much money women like her are saving this country by doing the amount of caring for others that she is?
People like her really are the unsung heroes.

Afternoon everyone :)

Another early start as Mick wanted to crack on with the ensuite :) I walked up to Morrison's - it's quite a way by road, but there's a good shortcut through Armscroft Park, then across the little bridge over the stream, then it's a slope up through the retail park. It cuts the walk in half, just about. I wanted some daffs, for us and for D, and the Co-op don't have any. Of course I came back loaded down with more than daffs, so I diverted home first to drop the shopping before walking up to D's.

I've done well over my 10 000 steps already  It's an absolutely freezing day here, with a sharp wind and the occasional snow flurry, but I was snug in my padded coat, long boats, the-lined gloves, and the Arran pull-on had that that D gave me 8-) Home now and staying put! :cute: :)

Cruiser, I agree with Ria about some supplements, the drinks are very good - all the calories and nutrition needed. I do hope Mrs E picks up soon. Best wishes xxx

Hoping Jo is feeling better too xxx

Crommers, Sergio is lucky to have such a helpful ex :) xxx

Stay warm everyone :) xxx
