Morning all :D

We're in recovery mode, well that's our excuse for a nice long lie in this morning

We had a lovely day with the boys yesterday and Z&M came home buzzing after their night at the theatre. They were at the Almeida seeing Hamlet which runs for almost 4hrs  definitely a marathon, but they loved it. Oh and Maggie Smith was in the foyer, not sure if that didn't thrill them just as much

Absolutely no plans for today, just the usual washing and general lazing about 8-)

Hope you all have a good day :D

I couldn't sit for that long Jen, even with intervals, but would love to see something like that :)

Saundra yes, those pilchards and kippers do you good, as does the cod liver oil, they all have lots of omega 3 which is very good for you :)

We've just had a treat, went out for bacon baguettes before shopping.
And Tesco had just reduced a pack of 8 lamb chops to £2.20 :D
Now having a lovely cortado coffee :)

Yoo hoo from Benidorm! It's a beautiful day here, just back from a stroll on the beach and sitting on our spacious balcony in the sun. We have struck lucky with the hotel, apparently recently refurbished but looks totally overhauled to us. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, the food is excellent. We had great dancing last night, they have a nice room for it. Tonight there is dancing in another hotel nearby with the same guy doing the music, he was very good - we went to see that hotel this morning and the room for dancing is nothing like as good but we will give it a go.

The really great thing is that we are meeting up with Bicky from Femail tomorrow! We met her years ago at a Brum meet, she is from Coventry but married to a Spaniard, I never knew where in Spain she lived. More recently we became friends on FB after Oldy's brilliant Femail thread some months ago. Mr Osc tagged me here yesterday and she posted that she was only five minutes away, so we chatted on Messenger and will arrange later on today where we will meet - those Femail bonds are always there.

This trip was a bit of an experiment, but Benidorm is not quite the Blackpool-on-the-Med that I expected, for a start it is spotlessly clean. I am sure it is a nightmare in high summer but at the moment, we are seeing mostly people of a certain age, in fact Kellie's childminder warned us to be careful of speeding mobility scooters  Lots of highrise buildings, but some of the newer ones are very interesting looking, not just square blocks.

You really did hit lucky then Osc :D
Some people have the same misconceptions about Torremolinos - I may even have been one of them - but it's a beautiful place :)
Like you we wouldn't go in high summer so probably get the best of it.

And what a lovely bonus, meeting Bicky! :Hi:
So glad it's going so well, and sunshine too :)

Glad you're having a lovely time Osc.

We're just back from our wee break in Torremolinos - fantastic time, loads of walking and lovely and warm. I had a paddle in the sea. :D :D

We're going to walk into town later for a stroll, a couple of beers and a bite to eat. Perfect end to the weekend. :D

Good afternoon all, it's dull and breezy here today.

John and I took Billy for a long and very muddy walk on the Chase this morning. John's now out for a quick bike ride while Joe and I watch football.

Kaz, hope you're having a lovely day :D

That all sounds really great Osc! I was told that Vegas was tacky and that I wouldn't like it, the person who told me said they wouldn't return as they hated it. Blackpool in the desert was how they described it :?

Ally, I'm jealous of your paddle in the sea  Getting ankle deep in mud this morning is as close as I'm going to get
Glad you've had a good weekend :D
