Morning all

very wet sleet rain snow last night on the way home, with a teeny bit settling. But come 9pm it had stopped and we had very clear skies - and the most amazing moon still in the skies this morning. It's totally dry now but a very very nippy wind. The roads were a lot better than I thought they'd be so I've had no problems getting to work. Admittedly I did stick to the main road knowing it would be gritted. The road I usually drive along is quite treacherous when it's like this so I avoid it. Oh and best surprise of all - South West Trains didn't put in a winter time table!

usual work day for me and then quiet evening home.

Have a lovely day all, stay warm and dry

Ally, happy birthday to your dad x Just realised he's the same age as my mom - she turns 79 in May this year :D

Hope your scan goes well Ton xx

Glad you were OK getting to work Ria, I thought of you when I saw the weather this morning! xx

Good luck Ton!

Hope the trains are running okay Kaz, she should be okay if she's using buses on the main roads when she gets up here but she'll need to be careful on the side streets if it's not thawed by then.

Oh I was wrong, she does live in Brum itself. J always meets her at the station so B isn't sure what part   Typical B!

Morning all.........just

It's snowing on and off here, very light and doesn't seem to be settling, but as we didn't wake up till after 10 decided to pop straight out and buy the fruit and veg for the weekend. Doing things a bit back to front, just finishing brekkie, quite happy to hibernate for a few days now

Just seen photo's of the snow in some parts of Kent, Z's home with the boys as the school's closed for the day. So far looks like we've escaped the worst of it.........hmmm fingers crossed it's not famous last words.......

Yesterday's afternoon tea was lovely, I'd forgotten the deal also included a glass of bubbly, not bad for £10. We had sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, plus a really good selection of fresh made cakes, enough for people to take some home if they wished. There were 26 of us in the end.

Stay safe and warm :D

Just noticed that Becky next door's car is on the drive so either the school she teaches at it closed or the primary school on our estate which her boys go to is.

Afternoon all, no snow here, in fact it is nice and bright but very cold. I went for a walk earlier and the wind has a severe bite in it. We are collecting Michael and Kellie from school and childminder respectively at 2.30 and minding them for a few hours this afternoon. Otherwise nothing planned for the day.
