Morning all, it's just after 9.30am and we are at Nashville airport for the first leg of our journey home - Nashville-Chicago. For the first time during this holiday I did not sleep well  my tummy was not feeling very happy, but I seem to be ok now. Hopefully I will sleep on the Chicago-Dublin flight. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bluebird Cafe last night and were sitting with some nice people, then we shared their taxi back to downtown. We have really had a wonderful time and all because Mr Osc fainted on a train back in May :D See you sometime tomorrow as I struggle through the jet lag fog, not looking forward to that

Good morning all, it's just before 8am here.

We're off for a mooch around Pasadena today and then on to Griffith Park for sunset and to enjoy the view from up high. We had a lovely day yesterday in downtown LA. It's a lovely city, very clean and surprisingly there's not a lot of traffic. We walked down to Phillipe's, the sandwich place which Osc recommmended on here a few weeks ago. What a great place, a real step back in time and the sandwiches were so good!

Last day in LA today, tomorrow is the drive to Vegas. We've decided not to do the Death Valley drive as it'd take all day and John's found a slightly quicker possibly 8 hour route through the Joshua Tree National Park and Mojave Desert which sounds great but honestly I'm so fed up of being in the car, even going a few miles around here takes forever due to the amount of traffic. I think he said that the interstate to Vegas takes around 4 hours so that sounds slightly more appealing.

Anyway, have a good day all and wishing Osc and Mr Osc a safe and easy journey home!

Jo my lovely, late ex-mil was a little old lady from Pasadena :D
We stayed there with her brother and his wife once, they lived just near Huntingdon gardens :)

If you're sick of the car, go the short route and have more time in Vegas ;)

Isn't it lovely there Di? I've fallen totally in love with the place :D

We've decided on the quick(er) route but we'll visit Red Rock Canyon just before we get to Vegas.
