Afternoon all, got back yesterday evening after our really lovely few days away - we will definitely go to that hotel again. It has been dull and warm today, supposed to have lots of rain but it seemed to pass us by. I did a supermarket shop this morning, then unpacked our stuff, loaded the washing machine etc. I just checked the credit card bill and all our holiday refunds have come through, so now all we need is to apply to the insurance for the air fares - I don't think they will be too happy as they have just passed our previous claim, well most of it  Suff that is an excellent weight loss, keep up the good work! Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)

Jen, I hope you had a lovely lunch - what a nice present! :D

 Ria, thank goodness you managed to get him in!

Suff that is a fantastic weight loss, and with the good news on your BP I suspect your pain/tightness was stress related, but get it checked out if it comes back xx

Enjoy your 'Royal' weekend Saundra :) xx

Gal I'm sorry to hear about the BP and that you might be 'losing' Jan at work, but quite understand her wanting to stand down a little. Enjoy your time with Lewis :) (((x)))

Osc it looked like an amazing place, so glad you enjoyed it, after the disappointment of your 'big' holiday getting cancelled xxx

Well after (finally) clearing my ironing pile I wandered up towards Sainsbury's, but as I walked past the Deaf Centre I saw D in their car park, loading some stuff into the boot of her car - she volunteers at a Cruse meeting there on Fridays but was just finishing up so I invited her to join for a cuppa and sandwich for lunch. It was 2pm before we realised, so she shot off to do her bits and bobs and I got the milk, biscuits and fruit I'd originally gone up there for   Enjoying some peace and quiet now, I rarely get the house completely to myself these days so it's much appreciated ;) :)

Thanks all, gal sorry to hear about the BP. Personally I'm aiming to get mine down to where it belongs then go back to the doctors and give them a hard time about the angina. I've had it for 5 years now. It comes, it goes, but it never, ever goes away. Result of thousands of pounds in private tests? Take the ace inhibitors, have no life and come back when you've had your first heart attack and we'll do something...

I'm going to go to a Lloyds Pharmacy and pay the £15 for a cholesterol check as part of their heart health check. I don't trust the doctors any more and you get the results there.

The weekends a bust. My BIL is sick and my niece's partner is in hospital for rehydration, SIL waiting to take home.

So I headed to Halfords and bought a 2 man tent, stove, mat and sleeping bag. Then on to Aldi to pick up the camping cook set I saw and I'm heading for the hills tomorrow with water and shakes. Otherwise I'm going to really blow the diet.

Another lovely day :)
Today's visitors on their honeymoon, having a perfect relaxed few days in a ridiculously busy life.
They're going back tomorrow to a new horse, two small grandchildren (hers) coming for the night, two extra dogs for the weekend, three voluntary jobs between them over Saturday and Sunday, and back to full time jobs on Monday :)
It was so nice we went to the same pub as yesterday and again sat in their garden for a couple of hours. Then down to the quay for a wander to look at the boats and a local ice cream each :)

Hope you had a fabulous lunch Jen, what a lovely present :)
Really well done Suff, and you did make me  re the tent :D
Well Osc that's why insurance companies exist :)
