Osc is it not half term for you this week? It's a Bank Holiday here, which you can tell by the rubbish weather we have  Cold, damp and grey with a strengthening wind....last few days started off like this but then about 4pm it has got out nice so perhaps today....

I have had a new compost bin delivered today - need to empty the last one (it didn't have a door so no access to the lovely compost :( ) and find a spot for the new one. I am home alone atm, as Jen is at work and Tom is with Amy at the dog track till about 3 - so nice and quiet :D We thought about doing similar to you Kaz, popping to town and having lunch out, but as soon as Amy texts 'what are you up to today?' which means she has nobody to hang out with, I tell him to go out with her as he worries about her. You'd think she was about 14 not 24!!

Ally I hope you do have a chill time today, but what's the betting it won't last all day ;)

Ria have a lovely time with your friend xx

Have a lovely birthday Saundra! xx

It has turned a bit chilly here too Gal :? The forecast was great, but no sign of any currant bun yet! Can't complain really, we've had a run of some lovely hot sunny days until now  :) In fact I have sunburn on my shoulders     @ The Amy stuff!  :( :( I would be soooo cheesed off with that, on a Bank Holiday :(

Have a good day Jen :)

Osc, I hope the tests go well for Mr Osc 8-) :) xxxx

We got Mick some Jeans, it's the last day of the 25% off at Tu so I'm pleased. We each had a salad baguette and a drink in their café, and then went up to Homebase as I wanted some herb plants. I got a gorgeous dark red basil, very unusual and a great smell. Also got a rosemary and a lemon thyme that smells gorgeous too :) That's all my pots planted up now 8-)

Afternoon all.

Have a great day Saundra... All.

I'm working today as payment for the 9th I took off as I was travelling that weekend and not on either of the BH weekends. It's quite nice out which is a pain but, perhaps, I'll go for a walk later as it's twilight well into the late evening up here now.

Other than that I need to put some Oil in the bike. Not a hard day.

Good evening everybody.
We were getting ready to get off the ship when Ally posted. Got home just after 3.00 p.m after a good drive by coach from Southampton.
Lots of emails and post to read as well as unpacking.
Hope to start posting again tomorrow after our cruise.

Thing is, Kaz, he enables her to manipulate him like this....I don't help really as I could insist we go out as discussed (not 'planned' as such, we'd only just mentioned it might be nice to do) but I don't, I had a few housey jobs to do and with Tom being off all week last week I hadn't got round to doing some of them. Did I mention she arranged to meet us on Friday when we were in Durham also??? Talk about babysitting an adult!!???  :?

And then I have issue with Donna atm as well....

And my Jen hasn't a dependant bone in her body....she's gone off there on holiday, not even asked for a lift into town to catch a train :( I actually feel like I am a rubbish mother....we've sort of lost that closeness... but then its probably since she started going out with her new b/f, so she isn't home as much, and I seem to be out or working when she is...

*sigh*

You have it all wrong Gal, Jen is independent and capable which shows how GOOD a parent you've been. Amy is needy and clingy - need I say more? xx
