Ria, the original article also mentions the Dutch merchants and TBH I can see them as both nuns and merchants.

It is quite fascinating (to me) how so many of us see different things from the same picture.

I can see that there is something else in the picture but I don't see the bust. I know from experience that if I let my brain look at something for about 10 - 15 minutes it will be able to see both, but didn't bother usually.

I too see Merchants. Either that or two guys in drag as nun's. However having seen a picture of my Grandfather decked out as a child with his "collar ruff", I'd go with the merchants.

I have different colour perception in both eyes so I tried with different eyes but I think that the web page doesn't have sufficient resolution to allow me to sort it that way. Not enough difference to catch.
