Morning all. Hope you all have a good day and Di, have a great time.

I'm in Edinburgh airport in the lounge, working before my 13:15 flight to Paris. I won't be in the airport long, I have under 1.5 hours to get off the plane, through passport, to the train station (in the airport), pick up my ticket and change my return leg from Tuesday to Monday (online SNCF booking issue).

Have a great Easter weekend, my BIL and his wife are coming over on Saturday and I expect we'll make a long night of it.

Morning all :)
Can't stop, but thank you for the good wishes. Hadn't had time to post as it was only organised Tuesday.
We've had a bit of a hard time lately (well, ok, since about August!) with Bb's ongoing eye problems, not being able to drive far so not working much, and I haven't been so good either.
Anyway, his sister and her husband wanted to help in some way and have certainly come up trumps with a brilliant brainwave, and bought us a holiday :D
What's more, it's on the Isle of Wight, so we only have to drive to the ferry (our town!) then the other end nowhere's far :)
And it's a self-catering cottage so Minnie comes too :D
This is it http://www.island-holiday-homes.net/sel ... rty=393940
Shop, Italian restaurant and pub all nearby, and a farm shop too :D
We go at 1 today and come back late afternoon Monday.
The weather forecast is a bit rubbish but that's the same as here - tomorrow should be nice :)
It says there's wifi but you never know till you get there so I'll wish you all a lovely long weekend and happy Easter now xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy your day Ally. Some years ago we were in Malta and watched the Good Friday parade, it really was spectacular.

Osc glad you had a good night away with Michael.

Shopping for us today, no other plans.

Hope you all have a good day :D

That's a lovely idea Di and hope you both have a lovely break, despite the weather xx

Four bonfires done, time for a quick coffee and then do the last one.

And then a shower

Di, that looks absolutely amazing! My mom is coming over end August / beginning September and I'm thinking of somewhere for us to go for a few days - it'd be the two of us plus Karl and family and their pooch (maybe two by then)... hadn't thought of the IoW - may have a look at what is available there.

Enjoy every minute of your mini holiday - you definitely deserve some quality down time xxx

Eyes open and taking care Saundra. The airport and tgv station are fairly relaxed although they now shut all the train platforms when there are no trains due for more than 20 minutes.

Train in 10.
