Thank you

Not sure why I worry in all honesty - one of the partners of the company had a hissy fit when our IT manager took it upon himself to install internet access / security patches which in turn blocked various social media (and other) sites. Said partner spends quite a bit of time on social media so because he wanted it back we all got them back.

We've got access to nearly everything

No-one complained :D

Annoying isn't it...

My desktop at home will run for weeks and months so long as I'm in the house. The second I leave to go to work, 30% of the time it crashes and fails with a 0x3xxx number in the bottom right of the primary monitor.

After a solid 5 years of this I decided that I'd had enough. I got a smart socket. My computer is set up to power on immediately on power loss. So, thinks I, I'll get a smart socket which I can switch on and off from my mobile anywhere in the world so long as I have an internet connection.

I go to work, I power it off, I then switch off the socket, wait 5 seconds and switch it back on again. Voyla works perfectly.

Come home, go away again, desperately need the computer, nothing. Great, power it off, wait 5 seconds, power it on, wait, wait, wait, wait.... Phone Mrs S and it's sitting there doing nothing. Press the power button and.... Voyla, it' starts..

My desktop hates me!!!!! I will have my revenge when I rip the guts out and replace it all....
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.
