Morning Tuesday

Postby jenniren » 26 Jan 2016, 08:15

Morning all :D

Looks quite promising here, nice and dry and I think we could be in for a bit of sunshine. The temperature has definitely risen, we didn't need the heating on yesterday evening, pretty much unheard of in January :o

Up at silly o'clock as I'm due at the doctor this morning for a medication review, the result of my blood tests. Should be straightforward, I know both my cholesterol and sugars are borderline so hopefully won't need any extra meds at this stage. Apart from Christmas week, we've both been doing the healthy eating thing for a while now which should help to keep it all under control.

Afterwards we'll pop into town to visit our lovely greengrocer for some fruit and then I expect we'll have a stroll around the harbour.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning Jen and everyone

We have thick fog :o Supposed to be sunny

Good luck with the results Jen xx

General pootling for us today. Grumpy is going to make some shelving for his workshop, so he can actually find things, rather than rummage through boxes and I'll havea general pootle indoors. Shorting out the utility room and a little light cleaning 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two.... gosh, where is Ally, not like her not have said good morning by now. Hopefully there wasn't another earthquake?

Jen, good luck with the appointment, and hopefully your healthy lifestyle has kept both the cholesterol and sugars at bay and you won't need meds. And enjoy the stroll around the harbour after your shopping

Ton, hope you and Grumpy enjoy your respective pootling's about - it's nice when things start coming together once you've moved. And totally get that Grumpy doesn't want to be digging in boxes anymore

Lovely sunny start to the day for us, but expecting quite heavy rain later apparently - oh well. Usual work day for me and then popping past Asda on my way home to get a few bits and bobs for dinner, but that's about it

have a lovely day all

Good morning all.

It's not very bright here, but I'm staying in this morning sorting out the music I'm going to
use for my Golden Oldies Night on Thursday. Having some difficulty in using the Internet
as the broadband supply is somewhat sporadic, and our telephone has been out of action
for three days. Several other residents in our Lodge have the same problem, and we are
hoping that BT will put the matter right soon.

Hope you are all well and fighting fit.

Morning all :)

Good luck with your results Jen, I'm sure the healthy eating will have helped :)

No sun here Ria, we have strong winds and rain, the tail end of that storm in the US over the weekend  Supposed to be like this until at least Thursday :cute:

Enjoy your pootle day Ton, hope the fog lifts soon!

Aggers I hope your broadband gets sorted xx

Well the weather has kind of scuppered what I wanted to do - it was only a walk up to Sainsbury's but I'd get blown to bits in this! So I suppose I'll have to find something else to do....

Have a good day everyone :) xx

I'm having bloods done on Friday - the joys of Nadine working in the private sector; I go to hers in the morning, she takes my bloods, I take hers, and then they are sent off that day with results back on Monday :)

Afternoon all, been doing h/worky stuff this morning. Going to have an early lunch shortly then off to the cinema in another attempt to see The Lady in the Van this afternoon. It was pretty dreary when we got up but is bright and breezy now. Enjoy the rest of the day :D

Afternoon :)
We didn't get a bright start, but did intend getting out before the rain - they told us lunchtime, but unless 11am is now lunchtime they lied again :D
I didn't get into town yesterday so collected my ring today, I'm so pleased I bothered, it was silly it lying in a drawer, unworn :)

Shelves will be nice Ton, sounds like you're getting well sorted out - do you have any furniture yet?
Hope you get to see the film today Osc :)
Hope you get your broadband sorted Aggers, ours has been sporadic for a while too :?

Ally I would walk and be generally out and about so much more if only we had some half-decent weather, it's been foul almost constantly for months, all we seem to see on the forecast is rain and more rain
It's hard to make yourself do any more than scuttle in and out of the shops you really need to go to and get home again...
Oh well, we'll see if there's yet another film to watch this afternoon.
