Homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don and the others for our usual Friday beers and tapas. It's Gisella's birthday hence the cake.

Usual work day for me, but leaving an hour early to meet up with a friend for early dinner. A new Thai restaurant opened in a place call Compton (just off the A3)... so we're going to give that try. Nothing else exciting planned - the weather is rather damp and dreary; back to the "bleh" bleakness that we've had most of December and January. Oh well - at least the days are lighter noticeably longer which is always good

Dull and grey here, but quite warm.

Back still giving me a short sharp pain when I move, but more work is needed, bending over again today, so it's "get on with it woman"

We might pop down to the bar later on - a bottle of beer is 80 cents - and as we collect our post from there too, makes sense to pop in, every now and then

Vic, we're so remote, it's much easier for everyone to have a central point for collection, so the bar, being the only commercial place for miles, is paid to pass on the post for us all. Otherwise we'd all have to go to the post office in Ourique and it just couldn't cope with that many postboxes for us.

So we have a postal address and a "normal" address.
