Good morning Thursday

Postby Weka » 05 Nov 2015, 03:39

So nice this morning. I woke to the birds tweeting, the sun shining in, and a coffee that Sasha had made me delivered to my bedside. A mum could get use to this. Pity Hubbys not too happy about her using the jug. (Which I can understand).

Hope your morning starts as lovely.

Hubby asked if I was home this afternoon.m, and I said yes, to which he replied "good" but won't tell me why. I'm hoping a nice surprise will arrive via courier. More likely though he's hoping I'll clean the toilet.

Right now I'm sitting in the sunshine plotting what to make dinner.
It's guy Fawkes tonight, but we will be letting our crackers off tomorrow night. Very odd when you think about it, that we celebrate it here.

And my day just keeps getting better. My mystery arrived

Image.

With a note saying "you are awesome"

So once Geoff got home, I found out why I was so awesome.
This is what he wrote on FB

"Because you are. For example in this case of being awesome I'm not sure that many people would climb up on a roof with a roofing contractor to point out all the things that you want fixed that they haven't done to an adequate standard AND then get them to agree to fix it after they start trying to get out of it just by giving them "the" look. You know the look mums perfect when dealing with little ones day in and day out. Yeah, that one..."

Aw, that's just lovely Weka xxxxx

And Good Morning to you and everyone

We have started the day with sunshine here, so hoping for a good day.

Off down to the village later (not in my leggings, but a very skinny pair of jeans which, no doubt, WM would hate too     to look for some shoes. It's the monthly market and I've not been for a while.

I'll leave Grumpy in the coffee and join him later.

Enjoy your flowers Weka, you really are a special lady xx

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh Weka they are gorgeous!!! Well deserved too :D

Morning everyone :)

Ton I wear very skinny jeans and jeggings too, with long tops to cover my bum, I'm sure yours look great! 8-) Have a nice time shoe shopping :) 8-)

Another early start here, Mick had to go to Swindon so caught an early train - he's bobbing about all over the place for work lately, but at least his new contract finally came through, along with some back-dated allowances which is nice! 8-) ;) I feel a bit happier today, I think that bang on the head affected my mood yesterday, I was in a strange mood all day :?  Not sure what I'm doing, B is off work so I might see if she fancies coming shopping with me - Mick's birthday on Monday and I'm a bit stuck as to what to get him

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Oh gorgeous flowers Weka - even nicer when they are unexpected! :D :D

Yet another grey and foggy day here....sick to death of it now. It's my day off - last night Jen and I went to the quiz (we've not been for aaaaages!) - not sure if we were last, but tbf all the other teams had a minimum of four, we just had two, and we did ok I think! Plus there is an individual round where you can win a free drink, and Jen won that! :D She was so pleased..... I'm such a lightweight though, I only had three glasses of wine (well two and a half as she shared her free drink with me) and I can feel it a teeny bit this morning, not poorly, just I'm glad I'm not at work

Not sure if we will be going to a bonfire display, Tom has a GP appt after work and then he'll be taking the dogs to the farm to avoid the fireworks....no doubt there'll be plenty to watch round the estate :|

I'll probably go out somewhere later....for now, having coffee :D

Have a great Guy Fawkes Day :D xx

Good morning all.

It's rather dull here now, with rain forecast for the next three days.

I'm having a visit from Age UK this afternoon, to receive some hearing aids. My present ones,
from the NHS are terrible, and though they are (eventually) going to provide me with a new
pair, I haven't much faith in them. Their service seems to have greatly deteriorated now.

Hope you are all well. Have a nice day. Enjoy the fireworks (if you can).

Morning all :D

Oh weka, what a nice thing for your hubby to do, lovely flowers :D :D

It's obviously rained heavily overnight, but the sun's shining brightly now, long may it last.

Nothing exciting happening here today, off out shopping this morning and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D
