Morning Ally, morning everyone

We have sea mist again   so it's damp and cold outside

We're up early, as Grumpy was going to paint the spindles on the back balcony and I was going out for a lovely, long walk. I might still go for a walk, but Grumpy won't be painting - everything is wet

I collected a load of newspapers off a friend yesterday - he buys one a day at 2.80 :o - then lets us have them, a month or so later, or whenever we see him :D

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning both :)

Have a great time with your friends Ally :)

Ton that's a lot of catching up with the newspapers - mind you most of it is bad news, are you sure you want to? ;)

Well we have visitors today, my niece and her bf, but not until this evening, so our day will go as usual on a Saturday. My niece is flat hunting in Bristol, as she's going to be working there for a while :) Will be nice to see a bit more of her 8-)

Have a good Saturday, everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Another 7am start for us

We had a lovely day in Margate yesterday. Z forgot to pack the boys shorts and it was too nice to stop them running into the sea so of course they got absolutely soaked. No way they could stay that way so I popped into a cheapie shop and managed to get them shorts and tshirts for £3 an outfit. Even if they fall to pieces after a few washes it really doesn't matter at that price and actually they looked quite cool. Today we're off for a day on Ramsgate beach so they can wear the new stuff in the sea and change into their proper clothes afterwards.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Ooh yes, must admit that's my favourite part of the newspaper these days :D

Morning Jen :) That was a good idea, with the outfits! So glad you are having a lovely time - the boys must be so pleased that you moved to the seaside :D :D 8-)

Morning all, it's fairly dull out there although it was nice earlier on (when we were woken by the window cleaner outside at 7.30am  ). I am a ladee wot lunches today, meeting the friend who is over from NZ and another friend who was unable to come to our get together a couple of weeks ago. NZ friend goes back tomorrow, it's been great seeing her. I did all the ironing yesterday *polishes halo* but can feel the result in my bad shoulder today.

Jen, you will probably find that the cheapy clothes last for ages  The boys will have lovely memories of their days at the seaside with you both. Hope Bb and Di are ok today. Have a good day everyone :)

Morning :)
Absolutely gorgeous here going to be blistering hot later, they're saying 30 degrees! Then of course thunderstorms later, hopefully not till tonight.
I've finally got the bedding in washing thank goodness, so that will dry nicely and Bb is ok enough to help me put it back on later ;)

Osc have another lovely get-together :)
Saundra hope you're enjoying the seaside, lots of sport on today :)
Ton enjoy your crosswords and Ally enjoy Benalmadena :)
Jen what a lovely time you're all having, tiring but like a holiday for you too :)
Kaz that sounds a lovely job for your niece, also a smaller unit so a bit nicer I think, the same people probably work together for longer.

No shopping needed which is nice, apart from the paper but I can walk for that. No chance of getting anywhere by car today, apart from the usual holiday traffic it's the third day of the Bournemouth air festival. Brilliant that they have such good weather for it but by 8 o'clock the local radio was already saying roads were getting jammed from all directions

I've been walking up into the village each day (when we haven't been at the hospital) mainly just to get out for a little while.
Yesterday I called in at the hairdresser to book, as I knew she's going on holiday today, and I ended up being in there longer than when she cuts my hair
Ooh I'm glad you've come, said Tina, I have news.
An elderly lady was already sat by reception with a cup of tea; it was a lady I've met a couple of times as we've been in there at the same time and chatted.
So Tina got me a seat :) Her next appt wasn't for half an hour so she was pleased she could talk to us both at once to save repeating it all.
It's a long story but the upshot is she will be closing the shop on 1st October and then working from home, but not where they live now.
Thankfully since I have my car, it's not far, just a couple of villages away.
It will be interesting to see it as the hairdressing is going to be done in a cowshed - which at the moment is exactly that, although hasn't been used as one for a lot of years ;)

Hope you're all enjoying the day
