This house sale has got sooooooooo frustrating now, we came back from our holidays to find that nothing had happened This is all down to the other solicitor as Miss Osc has been ready to proceed to signed contracts for weeks. The issue is a boundary one but actually it's not really an issue at all, and Miss Osc has suggested several ways to proceed, however the other solicitor is mega-picky and can't seem to decide which way to go. I know we all want our solicitors to make sure everything is ship-shape (can you tell we've been on a cruise ) but even the surveyor who came to look at the house for the purchasers said this one is pedantic with a capital p.
This morning I've been on to the estate agent trying to see if he could get things moving - he phoned the other solicitor and came back telling me lots of things I already knew, (and making a few side-swipes at solicitors which I ignored with gritted teeth). I made out I was really angry and he was trying to placate me, so maybe he will communicate my anger back to the other solicitors.
In the meantime, we are living in a house that is 2/3rds packed up, the builder is poised to start work on our other house, Miss Osc is waiting for us to move in (and move out) of her house with the baby due in early October..... so any vibes you can spare to push this across the line would be more than appreciated.
