Morning all

Another early start, the decorator is due in the next 15mins or so. Think I'll be ready to sleep for a week when he's finished

Yesterdays hospital appointment went well, mother was quite happy and cheerful, probably because she didn't really understand what was going on. Goodness knows how she'll be next week when she realises she has to stay overnight

Woke up with a bit of a sore throat and dry cough so will be dosing myself up today, the last thing I need is a cold right now.

No plans for today, E says he'll get the jet washer out and have a go at the conservatory roof if it doesn't rain and that's about it.

Off to the dentist later - just a wash and scrub up - then shopping, then Bente invited herself to lunch And we don't normally do lunch, so I've taken some soup out of the freezer for her. And yes Bente, it is home-made

Morning all. Its lovely here.

Busy day for me - work until 2pm, then my weekly meeting with the head (not many more to go - I only have about six weeks left, hurrah) then home for a quick dinner before heading to the allotment - have loads of plants to put in. Then back home for a soak in the bath.

Yesterday I got in touch with the chairman of our allotment society to say that I wouldn't be able to organise the annual show this year. It feels great to be rid of that and almost be rid of the chair of governors.

Hopefully I can spend more time in here - I feel as though I have been pretty absent of late - I've been really busy.

Morning all - usual work day for me.... sigh I'd also much rather be heading to a garden centre or allotment, but then given the car MOT and vet costs this month due to sick cat I have no money anyway so may as well be here.

Jen; glad yesterday went fine for you mom and good luck for next week; I hope that works out OK as well. And hope you shift that cold asap

Loz, I agree with Kaz - I really hope the doctor can help you; that cold of yours has been going on far to long.

Morning all, very dull here and quite windy, don't know if it is cold or not as I'm still in my dressing gown and haven't been out. Slept well until about 6am, asked himself to turn on the radio at 7am and remember nothing else until almost 8.30. Am feeling pretty good overall, still a bit sore but it's very early days, and tiredness is to be expected. A friend visited yesterday on her way home from work, then my sister called and stayed to have something to eat, so it was nice to have company. Mr. Osc has been doing brilliant - our friend suggested he should start a blog about being a house husband, a nurse, and his views on doing laundry

The plan for today is to take it easy, going for my shower and hair wash shortly. I'm doing plenty of reading and a bit of knitting and could very well have a large rear end quite soon with all the sitting around Jen, glad all went well with your mum yesterday. Di, continue to have a lovely time in the sunshine. Loz, hope the doc sorts you out, your cold has been going on for far too long. Have a good day everyone

Good afternoon friends.

Having a quiet day today. Visited the dentist yesterday, as I had a crown break off.
He decided it would be best to add another tooth to my denture, so it's taking me ages to chew my food,
now that I have central eating. But I should be back to normal tomorrow afternoon.
