Is Easter special for you?

Postby miasmum » 21 Apr 2014, 12:31

Kaz's comment about Easter being over made me wonder what people actually do for Easter? Some seem to treat it almost like Christmas it would seem?

I can honestly say apart from Tim being here, it is no different to any other weekend. In fact most of the time I completely forget it is Easter, it is just nice to have a couple of days off, although I get Fridays off anyway, so I only got today extra.

It's special for us as mum and dad are here and we have a lovely family day together. :D

All the Easter parades and processions make this a very festivial time - but that's par for the course in Spain.

Jo- all the shops here are closed on a Sunday..I really like it like this. :D

Nothing special here - just a long weekend off.

Friday the girls were out with friends and we went to the allotment. Saturday was just a normal day. Sunday and today are spent at home simply because the traffic is so horrific we don't want to venture out in it.

A friend usually does a massive Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday and we usually end up taking food and drink and having a sociable afternoon but they are on holiday this year.

As a Christian Easter is special to me, but not to hubby and boys. I like to go to church if I can and will do a nice roast. I only buy a few chocs because we are not big sweet eaters. I like to decorate my table with spring flowers too :D

Not exactly special, but it is always rather peaceful.

It is certainly not the excuse for a blast or a knees-up that C'mas has become.

I understand that Kaz. We don't have any so that solves that one

Well we have Tim's mum and dad but they pop round every weekend to see Luke.
