Sorry to say Vic, but the Atlantic storms this season have been fierce and wide-ranging. I wouldn't bet on there being a let-up for a while yet.

Best you batten down the hatches and sit them out as best you can.

Good Lord, Victor.

That sounds terrible. I don't recall seeing any warnings of it on the TV.

The weather seems to be going haywire lately.

Just to add....

A few of the weather sites I watch indicate that the jestream is to the north and is likely to stay there for some time yet. This means that at this time of year we are given mild, wet and windy weather.

Should it change, and it probably will, we will get a Polar blast with cold winds and snow. Vic might only get rain, though lots of it.

You pays your money.............

is giving the south coast a hell of a battering

2 small village ports have lost 13 fishing boats that were at anchor - that must be such a worry for the families as I would assume it's the livelyhood of quite a few people who are now going to struggle. How quick are insurances at paying out your part of the world Vic?

but not mention of any loss of life or injuries so far - phew and thank goodness. Material things can be replaced, lost lives cannot

Stay safe Vic
