I didn't know...but once in a while I surprise myself :D
There was broccoli and spinach in the fridge which I didn't want to spoil so that was what had to be in it.
Yotam, I thought, he's good with stuff like that, so pulled his book 'Plenty' off the shelf.
And there was 'broccoli & gorgonzola pie' :D

Now, I didn't have gorgonzola, but did happen to have some rather lovely Caxton Blue that was on offer in Waitrose and we'd eaten most of. He used puff pastry and I had shortcrust...all the same, it was a starting point ;)
So. Briefly cooked broccoli, drained. Spinach cooked in microwave in bag; drained and pressed as dry as poss.
Cooked chopped onion in butter. Added chopped mushroom, then flour. Otam used herbs, garlic, mustard, cream; I used cheapo soft cheese with garlic & herbs, plus a bit of creme fraiche, mustard, seasoning, the spinach.
Lined small cake tin with pastry, cooked blind, put in the broccoli, then the spinach mix, then the diced blue cheese, topped with pastry. Cooked in oven (obviously).
Blimey, it was absolutely bl**dy lovely! :D

I wasn't sure what to serve with it; Otam did a tomato salad. I made a sort of slaw, of red cabbage, carrot & celery, but we didn't eat it, we just had the pie :D

Okay then, Tuesday was the left over rock hard sprouts, beans and cauli from Sunday, to which I added some mash and then fried it. Grumpy had a couple of spicy bangers (which I loathe) so I added a couple of small chorizos and some block presunto, both chopped up.

Last night was chopped up beef, with cous-cous, to which I'd added some left over chick peas and a couple of our chillies (1 red, 1 green) and fried a couple of peppers, cut in strips with garlic and also a courgette, which I sliced and fried that too.

Tonight is a bit more normal :lol:

Doesn't sound too odd to me Ton :D

Loz that does look good but don't think I'd like chorizo with cream somehow :?
Fast day today - will be doing 'something' with the second half of a pack of chicken mini-fillets :)
