Morning all. It looks like its going to be nice out.

Work for me this morning - hopefully my last Friday of having to work.

Have to nip into town afterwards to go to the library, pick up a prescription for Mick and pick up next weeks adoption papers as rather annoyingly they weren't ready yesterday. They can post them to me but they come recorded delivery so if I am out they end up going back to the sorting office in town anyway, so its just easier to pick them up.

L is very excited as she has a new friend coming to sleep over tonight. It is "Village night" where we all get to go and see the illuminated boats go down the river, without the hoard of tourists being there too. The children get to vote for their favourite boat. Then back to the local hotel for a bbq.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Morning everyone

Cloudy and grey here, a bit blowy too, but nothing like we're supposed to be getting  The whole country is on yellow alert for the storm and high winds.

So a day for staying inside and doing insidey stuff - which includes ironing

Sounds a lovely night Debih, hope you all have a good time xx

Enjoy your day everyone and hugs to the poorlies xx

Good morning girls (and boys).

It's a lovely morning here, so we will probably go somewhere nice where I can try out my new camera.

Hope those who have been poorly are feeling better now.

Have a nice day.

Morning :)
That sounds fun Debih :) Loz that is a lot for your feet :D
Ton hope the worst of it stays away from you x
Jo hope the dentist went ok x

So much for a quieter morning - Bb was woken up by raging toothache about 1.30  Thankfully he didn't disturb me so I did sleep, he came down and took some painkillers then laid on the sofa. He rang the dentist while I was out with Minnie and got an emergency appointment. I wasn't back so he had to walk - which he managed without getting run over :-P
I went straight out again to collect him, they've put an anaesthetic block in or something and he's to have it out next Friday.
So then we had to go get his anti-b prescription and more painkillers, got back here and I finally had the scrambled eggs on toast I've been wanting all week and hadn't had time for and was really looking forward to this morning
I did enjoy them though :D

And in a minute I need to have the shower I didn't have time for earlier and get ready to go to the hospital yet again - bone scan today. Appt 1.00, get injected with radioactive stuff (hopefully!), go away for 2 hours then go back...yesterday I popped into the Macmillan unit while waiting for Bb, and left my rainjacket so at least I can go and collect it :)
Hope everyone's having a better day than this one
Normal me will soon be back :)

Morning all :D

Gosh Di, what a morning you've had. Good luck with the bone scan this afternoon xxxx

Nothing exciting happening here, still taking it easy and letting E do all the running about.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Oh blimey Di!!! :? :( Poor old Bry, that sounds horrid, and poor you too with yet more testing today! You will be sick to death of all this medical stuff - but thank goodness for the good old NHS eh? ((((((((((((((((((((((((((Di and Bry))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Will be thinking of you this afternoon 8-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jen I'm glad you are doing ok, and letting E take care of you :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's brightening up here, I think I'll wander out for a good long walk, make the most of it 8-)

Afternoon all, it's cleared up to be a very pleasant day here. Up early as a technician was coming to instal e-fibre broadband any time between 9-12 (he came just after 10am). I've been doing holiday paperwork which is all ready now, and will concentrate on refining the pile of clothes I have on the spare room bed prior to packing tomorrow.

Got an unexpected credit to our bank account and figured out in the end it might be from the UK Pension people, so I phoned Newcastle this morning (lovely Geordie accent he had!). Apparently I am not due a full pension in my own right as I didn't work there for 10 years or more, but when himself starts getting his £25 a week next month, I will get £15, and the money I already got was what was owed to me as part of the Graduated Retirement benefit scheme which was discontinued in 1975. It seems a letter has been sent but I haven't got it yet. Every little helps! The Irish pension crowd are still faffing about as to whether Mr. Osc can have full allowance for me on his pension here, they are just about short of looking under the mattress to see if we have money hidden away

Going to a master class tonight for a new fitness regime called Fitsteps based on ballroom and latin dancing, which has been created by Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe from Strictly, plus Mark Foster the swimmer - very excited because Ian Waite himself is coming to give the class! I bought myself a pair of leggings and was worried about being rather MDL, but I think they look ok teamed with a long teeshirt and Ian won't be interested anyway ;) Mr. Osc will come along and take video and photos for our website, so it should be fun. Here's a little video showing a bit about it, Mr. Osc is very disappointed that Natalie isn't coming tonight (he's going to be even more disappointed when I don't end up looking like her after it too ;) ). There will be teacher training in November, and I'm hoping that someone will start teaching it here after that as I really like the look of it.
