Off to Tavira later, to see our friends for the last time - they're off early on Wednesday. Think they've all been surprised just how much they've enjoyed their holiday - being ferried around and seeing places they wouldn't normally have seen

Then I'm going to do nowt for the rest of the day - my new flip-flops have given me 2 lovely fat blisters and my ankle is aching so a resting afternoon, with a book.

Morning all. Dull and overcast here.

Work for me this morning and then home to potter.

I have to take L to the dentist this afternoon which I am dreading. We went about 3 weeks ago and she was told that she needed a tiny filling. The dentist assured her that it wouldn't hurt but she clammed up and refused to have it done and got herself into a right state. So I made an appointment to go back today at 3.30pm - she is already getting herself into a tizz about it. It is only a tiny filling and I have told her that it really wont help (strike me down if it does) but she is still worrying. I have now managed to bribe her by saying I will give her £5 if it does hurt.

I am going to look into moving dentists. The one we go to is only tiny with one dentist but is part of a larger practice. We never seem to see the same dentist twice and although they are all okay, some of them really don't have a very good manner with children. Most of the ones we see seem to be South African and the last one had a very strong accent and we really did struggle to understand him - which didn't help when he was explaining to L what he was going to do. I am going to ring later to see if we can switch to their other practice and always see the same (preferably child friendly) dentist!

Debih, it might be a good idea to change dentists. It's horrible to be frightened of the dentist when it is so important to go.

Definitely change dentist debih, having a child friendly one is so important. Hope the appointment today isn't too traumatic.

Hope the luggage turns up soon loz, no wonder Mr.Loz isn't happy.

Planning to visit mother this morning, fingers crossed we're able to take her out for coffee and cake. Got a few errands afterwards, pay her papers, go to the bank etc. then it's off to the cinema at 1.10 to see Despicable Me 2. Loved the first film, can't wait to see this one

I might be going out, might not. Didn't sleep very well, it was much cooler last night and we only have the duvet cover on because most nights it's too warm for anything else. I eventually thought to get the blanket from by the bedside cupboard and then that was too warm - can't win

Sorry you had a poor night Di. Last night I put Jasper's bed in the hall, so that the dog's bark would alert me if need be. I got up this morning and stepped over the sleeping dog, went into the kitchen to find youngest there, who had arrived from his girlfriends about an hour before. Dog didn't stir I'm going to have to train Jasper to be a hearing dog as at the moment he isn't much good

Morning everyone We overslept - it was almost 8.30 when we woke Mick bounced out of bed as he had an early call at 8.30

We seem to have the same weather as you Di, it's been humid here at night as well - we've just had the very thin summer duvet on but even that has been warm! I could do with a walk but am not sure if I'll bother going out, my throat is still painful

Loz I would be furious if my ironing disappeared, unless it was before I'd done it Poor D though, this must be a massive inconvenience for him xxx
