Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 07 Jan 2025, 07:59

Good morning.

A sunny day forecast and 20°. 8-)

I'll be off for my walk soon. :D

Back to los patios shopping.
Last week in C&A Don saw a really nice jumper and dithered whether to buy it.
(And there's the difference. If it had been me no dithering would be involved. See it. Like it. Buy it. )

We get home and he pipes up he regrets not buying it.

Hence going back to los patios mall and hoping it's still there.

We'll get some food shopping from Mercadona on the way home. :)

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Stunning sunrise again and we-re in for a nice day. Not that warm at 18C.

Over here Ally, if you see something, buy it. Because if you don-t, when you go back, it-s gone. The Portuguese only stock, normally, one of everything.

Washing to be done this morning, that will keep us busy.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anyboy else who is up.

It was only 11C when I got up. Had to defrost the car before I went for the paper. There is now mist. I cnnot see the houses which areles than 400 yards away.
Am staying in. May do the washing as the basket is getting full.

Ally, I rememeber going to Belamadena. We walked along the front. My wife saw a lovely leather jacket in one of the shops. She wentin and tried it on.
A perfect fit. So I had to walk back to the hotel to get my credit card as we had not intended to buy anything. She kept it for several years.
Like JanB has said, it was the only one they had.

Have a good day everybody.

Shops like C&A, Mango, Zara, Primark, etc have clothes in the same style with different sizes and colours.

Bit different from a one off boutique Cruiser so I think Don will get his jumper.

Hello and good morning all

Enjoy the shopping trip Ally; maybe you'll spot something you didn't see yesterday ;) ;)  - as for your temps of 20; sigh.
Jan, even your 'not that warm 18' would be amazing LOL
Cruiser, sensible to be staying in. And agree - the flooding this year seems really bad. But then I do think the people in the planning department that allow all the building going on need to take a long hard look and developers need to plan better for water run off. They need to stop building on what usually would be flood plains, stop felling trees as it's them and their roots that hold the soil and prevent landslips and soak up water etc etc. We humans are our own worst enemy :-(
Vic, stay warm

Not much on the agenda for me today; a trip into town is on the cards as I need to find an outfit for Saturday. Karl and Nadine celebrate their 25th Anniversary tomorrow and they're having a party on Saturday and I don't have anything suitable that would be warm enough for this time of year.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, bright and sunny but 0 degrees outside. Dublin really has escaped the bad snow affecting so much of the country. I had a lovely girls lunch yesterday, seven of us, four of us do see each other several times a year but it was very nice to reconnect with the other three. Lots of chat and reminiscing about school. Today we will take down the Christmas tree, and I’m going to see if I can get an appointment in the nail bar - I want to get the BIAB removed and give my nails a break for a few weeks. I’ll also change the bed, and there is already a wash in the machine. Life is getting back to what passes as normal!

Portugal and Madeira would never have suited my fondness for clothes shopping.

Luckily, I hate shopping for clothes

And any other shopping, to be quite honest ;)
