Thank goodness for honesty!

Postby Ally » 09 May 2013, 15:31

I've just had a phone call from a police station in Malaga.

Once I'd got over the shock and my heart had stopped hammering ( :o :( ) it turned out someone had found Jacob's passport lying in the street!!! :o :o

As Jacob had my name, address and phone number in the emergency section at the back they contacted me.

Heaven knows why he had it on him in the first place as we all carry our DNI and driving licences on us so there is no need for his passport to leave the house.

Thank you to the young man who handed it in. :D

And Jacob...what a numpty!

Thank goodness it was found and handed in!
Really you shouldn't need to post about an act of honesty should you, but unfortunately it's quite unexpected nowadays isn't it :?

Has Jacob realised he's lost his passport? If not you should make him sweat a bit and ask him for it (just come up with some arbitrary reason) :P

I rang him earlier asking if he'd lost anything recently. ;)

No he replied cheerfully.

Are you sure son?

Yep!

So not your passport?

Silence! Gulp! Rummage in bag! Another gulp.

OMG mum!

I then explained all.

I'm guessing he'll be very sheepish when he gets home tonight.

It is lovely to hear that there are still people out there who will hand things in :D - rather than keep them themselves and do nasties with 'em

Do you normally carry copies of your passport and ID Ally?

We always have to have driving licence and either passport or residencia with us - photocopies are okay for stops, but we need to take them to the local police station if requested.

We all carry our DNI.
It‘s the size of a credit card just like our driving licences so not a problem. :D

Don thinks Jacob has had his passport in his bag since he last went to the UK.

Did he know it was still in there I wonder? You can just imagine that the next time he needed it he'd turn the house upside down looking for it
