Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 21 Aug 2023, 05:32

Good morning.

Quite hot at 42° forecast.

Looking back in my diaries for this time of year it's normally around these temps.
I think because of the heatwaves and the fact it's been incredibly hot since May it just feels sooooo much hotter. If that makes sense.

A swim shortly then a lazy day keeping as cool as I can by the pool.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and everyone - hope you all had a good weekend

Makes total sense Ally - it's really been quite relentless for quite a few parts in Europe this year; and dare I say it - suspect that's going to be future trends  . Enjoy the lazy day by the pool.

I've got the day off today - Nadine, the kids, two friends of theirs and I are heading to Thorpe Park for the day. Suspect I'll be avoiding some of the rides LOL - don't have a head for heights.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a sunny one!

Bill had an early walk, it was lovely out this morning. Not as humid as early yesterday.

I’ve since been waiting for 8am so I could call the dentist. Pretty sure I’ve got an abscess by a molar I’ve been having problems with for the last two years. It’s been xrayed on a couple of occasions and thoroughly checked with nothing being found but every few months it’s flared up for a day or two. It started hurting again on Friday and then yesterday I noticed a swelling by it. Thankfully they’ve been able to fit me in at 9.50.

Ria, I’d love a day at Thorpe Park. John won’t go on many rides and neither will Tom but me and Joe love them :D I think I need to plan a day at Alton Towers with him actually.

Al, that day sounds perfect :)

Have a good day all :D

Brutal. Great adjective Jan.
That describes our weather since May.

I've done my swim and worked out my 100 lengths is just under a mile.

Going to make poached eggs on toast. :P

Morning all :)

That’s a looong swim, Ally, but I suppose the pool is by far the best place to be ;) xxx

Ria, Thorpe Park is very close to the part of Egham I used to live in - Thorpe Lea :) We had annual passes :D You know how bad I am with heights, so I stood on the sidelines a fair bit   Have a great time xx

Take care in that heat Jan xx

Oh Jo, toothache is just the pits :( I hope it gets sorted ((((x))))

The sun is out here, 23C forecast. I’m walking into town to meet Em, for lunch and a mooch. We’ve just been emptying the fridge freezer as the new one is being delivered today, checked their tracker and apparently they’re in Chepstow at the moment so we’re guessing very late morning.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning all! Back to normal after a really lovely week. It’s a lovely sunny day, so nice to come back to good weather especially for all the post holiday washing. Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll get out for a walk at some stage. I’m just about to get in the shower, being a bit lazy today. My brother just phoned so we had a good chat and I told him to get his daughter to show him my FB page to see our holiday photos. I bought a new jigsaw in Southampton, it’s the Titanic and in black and white (I’m a glutton for punishment) so I might start it later.

Osc, that one sounds brutal!

Done at dentists, course of antibiotics and then having the offending tooth extracted on the 1st, could have opted for a
root canal but I’m chicken when it comes to dentists.
Just waiting for the bus now.
