Good morning Good Friday

Postby Ally » 07 Apr 2023, 06:00

Good morning from beautiful Nerja. :D

It'll be nudging 30°. Glad I packed the sun factor.

We had a really lovely day yesterday and the Indian meal last night was delicious. :cute:

The street the hotel is on had the processions going down it so we stood on our balcony watching them. :D

After breakfast we're having a long walk along the coast. 8-)

We'll head off back home early afternoon.

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, although a little cool outside at the moment.

We'll be hitting 30C for the week-end too, so have most of the shutters shut already. I'll be running around later, opening and closing windows and shutters. That's my job for the next few months, trying to keep the house cool.

Cleaning head on this morning, although it is a very leaky head still. Not sneezed yet though

Think we'll have an afternoon in and just have a few beers at home today, before the chicken and clams dinner.

Havea good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Well you two it’s forecast to hit 14 here, but it’s a big improvement on the rain lately, so I’ll take it  It’s beautiful sunshine and I’m sitting in Em’s conservatory looking at her lovely garden, so it could be a lot worse  SW meeting in a minute, this afternoon Mick’s youngest brother and his wife are up from Somerset so we’ll be popping round there, without Fraggle, as they have a Vizla dog who’s a bit bonkers!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, mostly sunny here but cool. I have optimistically put all my winter fleeces in the wash ahead of putting them away and taking out some lighter ones. Edward has gone to play golf, first time in almost two weeks. I’ll be going to the gym later this morning then back to do not very much. Going to an Easter Bonnet dance tonight, should be fun, I’m really pleased with my yellow nails! General tidy around before I go out to the gym, and I need to hand wash my dressy dress that I wore last week - it’s covered in sequins so has to be washed very carefully. When I was young, Good Friday was a horrible day here, everything was closed, no radio between 12-3 and dreary music otherwise. When we went to London in 1971, we went to the cinema on Good Friday, it was such a novelty that we did it every year for a while. Thankfully Ireland has moved on and is no longer under the yoke of the Catholic Church.

Good morning.
A beautiful one it is too, nice and sunny.
off to Sainsbury's in a while.
Yesterday I was looking up the prices of a week's self catering holiday in this country. There are many, many reductions in the prices. Either some owners of holiday lets have got too greedy or everyone is going abroad this year.
We may have lunch out today.
Have a lovely day everyone.

ps Osc, MrsC was brought up a Methodist and they had to go to Good Friday service, which she said was always depressing.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny 8-)

We were in Malta on Good Friday some years ago Ally, the procession was amazing.
On days like this having glass across the back of the house is lovely, we love looking out at the garden.
30C, now that is hot Jan.
Good luck with the gardening Cruiser.
Enjoy the Easter Bonnet dance this evening Osc.
I spent 5 years in a Baptist children's home Crommers, we always had services on Good Friday too.

Usual washing and bed change day for me, plus a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon. Also need to whizz round the house for a tidy up, Z,M and the boys are visiting tomorrow :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Just waiting for the Tesco delivery which is due any minute.

Tom needs picking up from the station this evening, his train out of Paris is at lunchtime.

Joe’s just texted to say that Amanda has just passed her driving test on the fifth attempt. So happy for her!!

Have a good day all!
