Morning Ally, morning everyone

Chilly out there, but the sun is out, so another lovely day 8-)

Safe journey Ally xx

Off to Ourique for me to have my tootsies done this morning. Will also get the prescription and see if I can get Grumpy's phone sorted. The shop in Castro Verde was shut and this one is the only other one I know of. And I really don't like their attitude, but needs must.

Back to more weeding Nothing for the donkey's this time, will be pulling up all the lavender bushes by the fence. They'll smell nice when we have a bonfire

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Virgin to say the engineer was coming this morning. Good jb I hadnot p;anned to go out.

Will be finishing the ironing while I am waiting. Have two shets to do.

hello all, and the usual apologies for the radio silence. What with building work going on and me having a horrid cold and just feeling meh I haven't been online at all. Working from home today and will be tomorrow as well because I really don't want to pass on this lurgy. One colleague tested covid positive yesterday so he's home for a good few days as well and a few others also have the sniffles and sputters.

Will read through all the previous posts and catch up, but do hope that everyone is keeping well?

Morning all, it’s a bright morning here, the sort of winter weather that I can live with. Edward will be off to play golf in a while and I’ll be going to the gym. I’ve plenty to do as the countdown is really on now, going away for a night next weekend, then away on our holiday the following Friday. I’ve a phone call to make and I want to check out flights to Barcelona for next June, Ryanair apparently have offers which finish at midnight. Today I’ll be cleaning the bathrooms, and anything else that occurs to me.

Morning all, it’s quite sunny after a misty start.

Bill enjoyed his walk, I did too but a torch is definitely needed now, as are wellies. The washing is on the line, hoovering is the next job and I’m considering cleaning the carpets this week. Joe’s already nagging about the Christmas trees (he’s 22 for crying out loud! ) but I like to get the carpets shampooed before the trees are in the way.

Ikea tonight and then back to watch another episode or two of The Sopranos. Apparently, once I’ve watched all 86 episodes there’s a film.

Safe journey Ally!

Hope you’re feeling better soon Ria x

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Safe journey Ally.

I'm planning to sit and do all the Christmas cards today. With the proposed postal strikes I'd like to get them off soon, especially the ones to Oz. I do a one page round robin type letter for the peeps we don't see often, got them done yesterday ready to slip in with the cards. Also need to wrap the pressies for eldest daughter and family as they need to be ready for when they come to visit on Saturday, much easier and cheaper than posting.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Tootsies all done. She had a spare half hour until the next person, so spent more time on me than the normal hour :Hi:

It's blowing an absolute hooley, so I'm not going out in that. And it's a cold wind too, so will read and watch footie this afternoon - and evening

I haven't found any Christmas cards yet, so can't write any. Might not bother this year. Gets so expensive when the cards are almost 3 euros each, then there the postage

Didn't bother with the phone shop in Ourique, as there is a new one in Castro Verde, very good and very helpful, apparently. So he can wait until we go there again.

Afternoon everyone :)

Have been out all day, only just got home. Met Em at 10, then she had to get to an appointment at 12.45 so I carried on with my shopping. Had to queue for ages in the PO, for Christmas stamps, then had some individual cards to buy. Met Mick afterwards.

We had a bit of a disaster here yesterday afternoon. Firstly, a candle I was burning suddenly flared up. Mick tried to put it out, but knocked it over into the carpet  I was trying to help him clean it up (hopeless task) when I backed into the wall-mounted electric fire and knocked it off the wall!! :o Honestly you couldn't make it up  :cute: :( So we've moved furniture around which has hidden the damage for now. We're planning to redecorate Christmas anyway :cute:

Love to all xxx
