I've just waved my friend of 10 years off as she drives back to the UK to live.

Picking mum and dad up at noon and they're over here for the day.

We'll leave at 7 tonight for the airport..more tears.

Off out again and eye is just about back to normal. I don't normally get such a bad reaction to mozzie bites - been here too long - but that was a nasty one - it's now dead, of course

Yes I am excited - one more sleep until we go to Gatwick tomorrow, we don't fly out until 5.55am Thursday Gawd I hope we get good weather again, the forecast for Corfu for the next ten days is a bit mixed I am really really looking forward to this holiday, we booked back in September and the thought of it has kept me going all through this looooong winter

I'll be around briefly tomorrow morning, but otherwise that will be me off air pretty much until the following Thursday evening - I'll pop on to read once or twice if I can get on with my kindle or Mick's smartphone, but I'm not taking my lappy, I'm taking a break from the net

More ironing and packing today and some housework, and that's about it Have a good day everyone xxxxxx

Hugs from me too Ally, it's always hard waving friends goodbye and even harder saying goodbye to mum and dad xxx

Glad the mossie bite is getting better Ton. I got two horrendous bites just after we arrived in Barbados, never had anything as bad before, my hand swelled up so much I had to take my rings off just incase. The GP over there said it was a very bad allergic reaction, was on anti histamines for the whole month.

Oooh it's so close now kaz, no wonder you're so excited. Will keep fingers tightly crossed the weather clears up and is lovely for you

Butter fingers

It's mother's postponed dental appointment this morning. I rang the CH yesterday and they say she's been a lot calmer/happier this last week so fingers crossed.......

Afterwards Mr.J and I have 1.30 tickets to see Iron Man 3 at the cinema, very excited, we're worse than the grandchildren We'll probably stop off somewhere for a late lunch on the way home.

Good morning, all.

It's a lovely morning here (for a change).

I'm feeling refreshed after a lovely holiday in Shropshire last week.

It was good to get away from this blinking computer for a week. It really had been getting me down, what with the (to me) unnecessary complexities of Windows 7, my new Kindle, and the setting up of a pre-paid Master Card. I nearly dumped the lot into the refuse bin. Hopefully it's all sorted out now, except for £100 that seems to be lost somewhere in cyber space.

like you iv had problems my pc died had to have it revived
then get my new kindle fire connected and sorted now i love it to bits
brought a book for 99p
and have now down loaded 4 books today (free ones )
im suppossed to be cutting the grass
but its to windy i tell my self
