Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 14 Aug 2022, 05:15

Good morning.

Lovely again.

Going to church in Law Village for their 11am service.
I'll get to my friend Fiona's house for just after 10 and we'll have a cuppa and walk there.

Then on to visit my aunt Maureen and cousin Gary and his partner Mel.

After that my uncles Stefan and Stanley are picking me up and we'll go for a drive and a cold drink somewhere.

Should be back at Michelle's for about 5 where I'm going to make tentative attempts to think about packing for my journey home tomorrow.
And that includes checking in ...I haven't even thought about that yet.

Up to the pub tonight to see a group of chums and have cheerio hugs. :D

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

I hope you have a great last day here Al, and safe journey home tomorrow (((((x)))))

We had a lovely evening out at Withington it's just the other side of Cheltenham, and The Mill is a lovely old Cotswold stone inn, set in a dip in the hills, by a stream. It was beautifully cool sat outside, the food was lovely, and Fraggle behaved so well :)

It was considerably warmer here when we got back, but last night was much less sticky than Friday night, so we've slept really well 8-) Out shortly for breakfast at Corretto's - not sure if B is coming, she might have a hangover going by the amount of cocktails she and her friends were sinking at the hen night

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, it’s quite cloudy here but still nice and warm. We went for a walk before breakfast, while it was still quiet down at the harbour. Met Edward’s nephew with his little boy and had a nice chat with him. We have a choice of two dances today but haven’t decided which we will go to, or even if we will go out at all, I’d actually be happy to stay at home. Michael sent us a photo of his first breakfast in Fuertaventura

Morning everyone.

Enjoy your last day Ally, and a safe journey home.

A misty and cool start here, but set to hit 31 °C by mid afternoon so best to get things done while it is cool. Still doing a clear out. It is amazing the crap you collect over the years - a plastic microwave steamer thing, never used, and a George Forman type grill, what a waste that was! Three radios when I only have one pair of ears, and why did I buy a hand cranked food processor?

I might be part magpie. :o

Morning all :D

Hot, hot, hot, think I'm melting

Have a lovely last day Ally.

Zachery is 18 today, where did all the years go :o

Completely forgot to pop a gammon in the slow cooker yesterday so it will have to be for tomorrow. In stead I've pulled an M&S cottage pie out of the freezer for later. Planning to spend the day in the garden under the big brollies.

Stay cool and have a good day xx

Happy Sunday everyone

A busy morning today; the usual 6am watering at the allotment, then home to sort the chickens, then to a friends for a cup of coffee - she and the family are going away for 10 days and I'm looking after her plants for her. From there on to Karl and Nadine to water their garden as they're away until tomorrow and the people house sitting had an early start out as well. Home for a bit of a tidy but not much. The house really needs a good vacuum but it's just too hot so it just has to wait

I'm now going to sit in the shade outside and expose my legs to the sun. I have a very embarrassing allotment tan that I am trying to make less obvious. I usually wear just below the knee leggings with a loose top which means my calves and feet are tanned but the knees and top of legs are lily white. Really not a good look :D :D :D

have a lovely day all xx

 Ria that made me laugh, as when I was a kid my dad used to have a builder's tan from working as a brickie - deep mahogany tan from the waist up, but very white legs! My mum used to make him sunbathe behind a rock on holiday, until his legs caught up a bit :D
