Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 05 Jun 2022, 05:21

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-)

Off for my walk shortly. :D

We're going to Gambrinus for lunch. They have huge parasols to hide under.

An ice cream on the way home and watching a film tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Grey and cloudy a the moment, but the sun and warmth is forecast for later.

We're expecting our visitors about 11.00 - maybe even earlier  so need to do a couple of things beforehand.

Once they've gone, collapse

Footie later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Nothing even close to warm here - wet wet wet is more like it. So much rain over night and expected to start again around midday and then stay for most of the week; sigh.

We had planned a BBQ today but that's been cancelled for obvious reasons so I'm going to have a home day instead. Got some more veg plants I can pot on and get some other plants out into the ground; so enough to keep me busy, rain or no rain. The potting on I can do inside but I have some plants I just have to get out today.

About to head to Sainsbury's to get a few bits and bobs for the week. A bit annoyed because we're meant to have Tuesdays and Wednesdays as our core days in the office, and possibly Thursdays - but this coming week there are meetings in every bl**dy day. So everyone gets to work from home part time except me because I need to be in for client meetings; I know it's my job and I should be grateful I have a job, but still.

Oh well, rant over - c'est la vie

have a fab day everyone x

Such a shame about the weather Ria, sorry it spoiled your plans :( xx

We had a lovely evening out wit Em and Dave, nice food at The Whittle :) Then we went to collect Fraggle from D’s and caught the last hour of the Jubilee concert! Wow just about covers it, it was incredible :Hi: :Hi:

Talking of the Jubilee our nephew S is in the pageant this afternoon, he’s in the Marine Reserves. D is very excited about it, so we’re having lunch there and watching the pageant - she’s hoping to spot him :D :D 8-)

Good morning everybody.

It is raining again here so am inside today. Will do some dusting and polishing.
Ria, my son has had to work over the bank holiday. Hw works for a Japanese company and he has had many emails from HO in Japan
which he has had to deal with. He said the UK is one of the few countires which have had holidays on Thursday and Friday so he has
been busy either on the phone or his laptop.
Have a good day evrybody

Morning all.
Raining and cold here, "highs" of 12c forecast.
That's a shame Ria.
I saw Rod Stewart last night, that jacket he was wearing made him look like a yellow coat off Hi-de-hi!
George Ezra was good, I thought.
The family are coming for Sunday dinner.
Motorbikes on tv later.
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all :D

Torrential rain overnight, dry but dull now.

We had a lovely walk along the sea front yesterday, I say walk but the wind was so strong it's a wonder we stayed on our feet. E took his walking stick, but apart from the King George steps didn't really need it. Sadly I need mine all the time and I'd forgotten how many steps there are, bit hairy going down, a struggle getting back up :o Thankfully once down on the promenade it's nice and flat all the way to the harbour, No problem getting a table at the Pavilion, we had fish and chips, yummy.

I put the bed change off till today so I won't be going anywhere. We're having rotisserie chicken with salad for dinner later, choccy blancmange with orange jelly for pud. A nice lazy afternoon beckons, will be catching up with last night's Jubilee concert and watching the highlights of the parade.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Not seen anything Saundra, hope it all went well this afternoon.

Had a lovely, really lovely time with our friends, when they eventually found us

Sent them off to Serpa and gave them the name of a couple of really good restaurants there.

Jose was just happy to look at the view  but we were talking in French, Portuguese and English.

Sometimes, in the same sentence, but a great afternoon :Hi: :Hi:

We finished off what we had for lunch, for dinner.

Early night, methinks, once the footie is over.
