Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 20 Aug 2021, 06:30

Good morning.

Yesterday went absolutely perfectly.

I'll post later on another board.

Today Don and I are spending the day with Craig and the twins.

Tonight we're meeting up with Michele and Mark for a few drinks and a meal.

Have a good day. X

Ally, I'm so glad! Have a good day with your family :) xxx

I'm going round to D's early, to help out. Because her grandson C is home from Qatar for the first time in a couple of years, and is staying with D she's invited the other grandsons and partners/families up for a get together, she loves to put on a big spread, but finds it very hard work these days, so I said I would help. I've made my raspberry trifle that always goes down well at family do's, and Mick is going to drop me round with it, and will join us later, after work. Becky has a day off, so will wander up later with Fraggle. Everybody loves Fraggle :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning Ally and good morning all

Ally, so glad yesterday was perfect xxx Enjoy the day with the men in your life and the evening with M&M and friends.
Kaz, I love big family do's - your day sounds lovely. Enjoy the time with everyone. And how an anyone not love Fraggle! (we need a heart emoji)

A very dull and drizzly day here - I do hope we get a few more warm days. Not sure what today will bring - the usual mix of work / pootle goes without saying but may end up meeting up with Thomas and Nadine for some ten pin bowling, we'll see.

Jan, hope you managed to have a better nights sleep yesterday and are doing OK?

Have a lovely day all x

Lovely, sunny morning, warming up nicely later 8-)

Enjoy your time with the family Ally xx

And you with the extended family Kaz xx Shame trifle wouldn't stand the journey, sounds lush :D

Much better nights sleep, fed up lying on my back, so tried my right side and managed to sleep :Hi: Until Molly wanted to come in, eat, sleep and then go out again   She stayed out all night whilst I was away and is only now coming in to annoy u at night and sleep on the bed :cute:

Off to Ourique after coffee to have the dressing changed, then back to do some washing. Grumpy is going to have lessons on working the washing machine this morning  Then I'll be a lady wot does nothing 8-) We bought have a cooked chicken yesterday, so that's tonight's dinner with salad.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Slow and steady Ria, thank you x

I was shattered yesterday, Grumpy is now saying I should have stayed at home  :cute: but needs must and all that. Everyone has been very kind, Ana Cristina, Odett, Jose, also saying they'll help where necessary, which is do kind. Chris, Lucy and Jan are all abroad at the moment and I know they'd have been here most of the day, if we'd let them.

Jan is back on Monday and already plans to come up that afternoon

Some of the stitches/staples com out on Monday, I already have an appointment, and I'll just be a couch or bed potato for a couple more days

Good morning all.
I'm glad all went well yesterday Ally.
Jan, get that rest in if you possibly can (I had to laugh at Molly yesterday, typical cat!). Kaz, enjoy the family meet up - it sounds great! Ria I hope you get that warm day.
Grey here too. Eliza is due again. Her other grandad (Kevin) tore his achilles tendon the other week and is due at the hospital today, so we're up again.
I have decided to join the late 20th century and buy a sat nav for the car.
This is to get through Leeds as the city centre has changed an awful lot since the last time I drove through it.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s sunny and a bit warmer today.

I’ve been meaning to check in but I honestly don’t know where the time’s going to. Me and Tom have been going out and about a bit this week, yesterday we went to Ikea and bought loads of new bedding and kitchen bits that John usually speed walks past whenever I go with him

I’m now waiting for the Tesco delivery, I didn’t think we were going to get it as their systems were down for hours yesterday. Apparently the stores were affected too in some ways.

I’ve also got our neighbour calling around at some point with a key and a list of rabbit care instructions. It seems I’m the go-to person when they go on holiday now. In all honesty it’s a bit of a bind as the bedding and cat litter they use has to be changed daily, there’s a fiddly water bottle, food, greens etc and the rabbit tries to escape as soon as the door opens so it ends up taking around 20 minutes, now they’ve told me that they’ve bought another rabbit so there’re two hutches to sort every day. I’ve told John that he has to come and help.

Glad all went well yesterday Al, you were in my thoughts xx

Have a good day all :)

that's a bit cheeky Jo, how did the arrangement come about in the first place? It's a bit cheeky of them though not to have checked first given then now have two vs just assuming you'll do it again. Can you put some newspaper underneath all the bedding, then hopefully it'll be easier to clean up in one go? How long are they gone for? Poor bunnies will be stuck in the hutches all that time - hope they are a very decent size that they can at least have a good hop about

Morning all :D

Looks like it could be another nice day.

Glad it all went well yesterday Ally.
Enjoy the big family get together Kaz.
Glad you had a good nights sleep Jan, take it easy and rest xx
I'd be lost without sat nav Crommers, even better it saves E and I bickering in the car
Gosh that's a bit cheeky Jo.

We had another lovely evening with M&M and David. I was so pleased their last day's weather turned out to be hot and sunny. We're expecting them around 11ish, they're popping in here for a quick coffee before they set off home. It's been a lovely visit, sad we'll probably not see them again for another year. Much as I'd like to drive up there, it's more than I can cope with these days. Such a shame, just over 3yrs ago I was happy to drive anywhere, getting old really isn't much fun

Just the usual washing and bed change. Oh and I'll actually have to cook dinner for the first time since Monday :o

Hope you all have a good day xx
