Wow!

We are all up early.

I am like Cruiser, restless at night, don't' know why.

Nothing much planned. Walk in the cemetery, again, TV, snooze, six nations rugby, snooze, more rugby, MOTD, bed.

Exciting, what!

Morning everyone

Blowing a hooley here. Lovely and warm when out of the wind and in the sun, but it's north easterly wind so blasted cold

I went back to bed after letting Molly out, normally I'd get up and read, but the wind outside made me think of bed and coffee, with book, so that's what I did

Hope E is doing okay and Suff behaving himself. Bound to have the odd night - and day - like that Cruiser.

Not sure what we'll be doing today, the planned bedspread wash isn't going to happen, it would snap the line  And the weeding can wait too. it would be really unpleasant doing it in this wind.

I'll be picking either Chris or Lucy up, when the cheese lady rings and take them down to meet her and get some cheese.

Curry for dinner. Can't find the flat breads in the freezer, so I'll take out some samosas instead.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. Sorry been AWOL for a while - I find it difficult to post on weekdays as I'm working stupid hours. 8am to 7pm most days. But we are almost finished with our group 9's now and its unlikely we will be doing the under 50's so after next week we will just be doing the second vaccines - which is much easier as they all have appointments.

I've had my second vaccine last week so I am now invincible. :Hi: :Hi:

In other news - Lucy has a new job. She didn't go looking for it - they approached her. A little bit of who you know rather than what you know. The care home where my sister works. (Its not actually a care home as such - its independent living flats. Some people have care and some don't). My sister is the assistant manger and has been there for years. She started as a plain carer and worked her way up. Jobs don't come up there very often as its a really good place to work so people stay. Not sure when she starts - she's waiting for the letter confirming the job and will then hand her notice in.

I'm taking my mum to the eye clinic today and then going food shopping. Then coming home and keeping busy as rugby is on all day.

Morning all :D

Dry but dull

((((Cruiser))))

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, was having a nightmare, the phone didn't stop ringing all day.

A nightmare day yesterday, E was ready to come home, but Occupational Therapy couldn't sign him off as our bed is 4" too low. They had the form with all the measurements back on 22 Feb (I actually rang them to discuss it) but didn't bother to look at it until Thursday!! After lots of calls and much toing and froing they finally got through to the local team to ask if they would come out and put risers on our bed, but not surprisingly they have a massive backlog and said it could take 6/8 weeks. As you can imagine I was hopping mad!! Anyway after much discussion they decided to contact a medical equipment supplier who are delivering a hospital bed here today.

I've been up since silly o'clock, E had two messages to say the bed will arrive sometime between 8-12 this morning. Sods law says it will be nearer 12 and I could have had a couple more hours in bed. Fingers crossed there's no more hiccups and he's home later this afternoon. Honestly the whole thing is ridiculous, no wonder the NHS says it's short of money!!

Mr.P showed E his x-ray yesterday. They had to use an awful lot of packing and there are pins holding it all in place, but it looks brilliant, both E and Mr.P are delighted with it. It does explain why he has to be extra careful, they've thrown all the gadgets at him grab it stick, a special loop thing to help lift his leg into bed and so on. He'll need a removal van to come home in lol Even better he's not in any pain at all and has been doing his exercises easily for the last few days. Hoping it stays dry this week so he can get out for a short walk in our road.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
