Good morning Friday.

Postby Ally » 12 Feb 2021, 05:59

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 21 degrees. 8-)

Off for my usual walk. I do the same route, just over 8kms, and so far I've never tired of it. :D I do the same pine forest route when I go for a run and love that too. Simple mind.

Back to happily pootle till my two zoom classes at 4.30.

It's Chinese takeaway delivery tonight and another 4 episodes of Breaking Bad. Soooooo looking forward to it. :cute: :cute:

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Cloudy with a cold wind. I have walked for the paper so know. Wear a face shield to stop the wind blowing in my eyes.

Usual, shopping, washing and ironing again today. That is as well as looking after mrs.e.
It gets me down at times but we are keeping going.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

We have sunshine :Hi: :Hi: and warmth :Hi: Bliss.

Is there any-one that can help you Cruiser? I know you don't have family close by, but you should be able to get some form of help. Please ask the doctor and also about Mrs E. You need to find out the whys and wherefores.

Washing machine on and I'll get the cleaning out of the way this morning. Will be able to do the floors properly too :D

Then pasty making, one ech for tonight, the rest for the freezer. Also going to make some samosas. Again, some for tomorrow night, the rest for the freezer.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s sunny but very icy out there.

No plans today apart from cleaning. The hoovering is done, I’ll do the washing when Joe gets home from work at lunchtime otherwise I’ll empty the basket only to have him half fill it with his uniform

Cruiser, really sorry to read that things are difficult at the moment. Has Mrs E had any more tests or are you still waiting? Take care of yourself too x

Have a good day all xx

Morning all, it’s quite a bright day here but still extremely cold. We are expecting a delivery today or tomorrow, oddly enough have received no notification from DPD and got an unannounced delivery from them last Saturday. I shot out of bed at 8.30 this morning when I was sure I heard the doorbell, but there was nobody there. So we will have to have our walks separately, I think. I “might” do some ironing - or I might not. Kellie commissioned me yesterday to knit a dress for her doll to use as a nightie, and I couldn’t find a suitable simple pattern, so I’ve been making up one, I’ve never done that before but so far so good. Better get on with tidying around. Cruiser, as has been said, there must be some help you can get, have you asked your local health centre? (Not sure how it works in the UK).

ETA, just got a text from DPD, the parcel will be delivered this afternoon :D

Morning everyone

Not that any of us celebrate it; but happy Lunar (Chinese) New Year! As they say in Chinese; may you be blessed with riches

Ally, the route through wooded areas sounds lovely and probably no day the same, always something new to see.
Jan, glad you've got warmer weather - yay. Enjoy the cooking (do you make the pastry for the pasty from scratch or can you buy ready made?
Jo, don't overdo the housework ;-)
Osc, glad you've got an ETA so you can go walking together. Love Kellies request - not many dolls that have a knitted nightie :D

Cruiser.... is there anyone you can reach out to for help. You need to look after yourself as well; not just Mrs E. Definitely call the GP again and hound them for more tests / results of tests if you're still waiting. As for getting help; if you don't want to go via an offical route, then ask on various local sites - there are so many volunteer groups now that I'm sure someone will be able to help. Please make sure you look after yourself x Such a pity you don't live closer to any of us

Well very quiet work day today so I'm just pootling. Off to B&Q in a minute to pick up a click & collect. Now that the kitchen has been done (well still need to finish walls and skirting) I want to sort out the bathroom, but haven't got the money at the moment. My biggest bugbear in that room are the tiles; they're a very naff salmony pink / grey mosaic tile and I just hate them! So today I'm biting the bullet and I've bought a pale grey tile paint so hopefully that'll cover the tiles nicely just until the end of the year when I hopefully have the money to redo the bathroom. I have high hopes it'll make the room a lot nicer.

Another sunny but oh so so cold day here - that north easterly wind is back and blowing a biting hooley. Out the wind and in the sun it's amazing though.

Well, best dash and get on with the day

Take care everyone, stay safe and warm xx

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny, still lots of snow on the ground, but it's very slowly beginning to show signs of a thaw.

Cruiser I do sympathise, I'm doing much the same caring for E, but he isn't poorly so I don't have the worry you must be feeling. I agree with all the previous posts, if you are still waiting for test/results please give your GP a ring.

Excitement here this morning, the phone rang and it was the RNOH to say Mr. Palmer wants a face to face with E this coming Wednesday 17th at 11am. It will be a long day for him, the transport's arranged and will get here at 7am, back to sending him off with a packed lunch. Keeping fingers crossed Mr. Palmer will be happy with him and give an idea of when he'll do the re-op.

Friday means washing, the first load's just finished, 3 more to go. Nothing else planned, that and remaking the bed will keep me busy enough.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and warm xx

Good news for E, Jen - if a long day!

Ria, the paint sounds ideal, will you be able to take pics when you're finished?

Cruiser, yes please contact your GP. I have obviously missed Mrs E's problem but it sounds like you could do with a helping hand x

I have a bit of a cold, a bit snuffly.....trying to work out if to go get a test, I've done so well keeping apart from Tom all week and if I get it with all the distancing/mask wearing we've done, I won't be happy!! I am LONGING to go outside, I'm pretty good at entertaining myself so that side hasn't been too bad, but it's the fresh air aspect I miss, plus the walks.

Had a poorly Charlie the other night, something mustn't have agreed with him and he did four sicks before I knew about any of them! Luckily they were spotted and cleaned up before any real damage was done. I starved him overnight and he seems ok now.

Hoping to have a FaceTime with Jen over the weekend, and I've just managed to secure a delivery with Asda for late Sunday evening - I got a big shop last week so we haven't done too bad, it's like I knew!

I don't think we're to get above 0 all day, no more snow yet but we are forecast some this afternoon, it's bitterly cold! I hate it, think temps will rise a tad by Monday....

I'm rubbish at pastry, so I buy it

All the housework done, even shifting some furniture, all mould done (we all get this, every winter, pain in the bottom, but it's how the houses are built. This house used to be black, apparently

It's a gorgeous day, slight breeze, three loads of washing out and now dry :Hi: Ironing tomorrow then

I was so engrossed in the housework, I forgot I was supposed to be chatting with a friend this morning and she's out now, so it will have to wait.

Grumpy is down on the veggie plot, sticking the peas. The broad beans have grown about a foot since I last went down there and even have flowers on :Hi:

Afternoon everyone :)

Cruiser I agree with the others, contact the GP. Sending my best wishes xxx

Gal I would get a test, put your mind at rest (((x)))

Jen, that's good news! xxx

It is absolutely freezing here, but not as cold as London, where the Thames has frozen over for the first time in 60 years   I braved the cold to walk up to see D - in puffer coat, boots, fur-lined gloves, and knitted hat  :cute:  Let's hope it warns up soon! Turkey stir-fry for dinner later 8-)

Stay warm everybody xxx
