Do I take a chance

Postby miasmum » 28 Mar 2013, 19:29

(I actually feel bad posting this in light of Becky's trip to Borneo)

have decided I want to go away for my 50th. I have found a nice place, don't want to say anymore in case I jinx it

Problem is Tim has put in for his holiday at work, but his manager is off so can't ok it. The property is on hold until the weekend, it has been on hold since Tuesday night, which is good of the owner. Tim has no idea if his manager will be back Tuesday or if she has next week off as well.

He doesn't think it will be a problem, so I am really tempted to go ahead and book it, but my head says that is silly, as it would mean risking the deposit. Tim says well if we can't go that week she can use the deposit for another week, but we can't go the following week as we at seeing Paul Weller on the Friday and the week after is school holidays, so back to September and I really fancy a holiday with light nights, haven't had one for years in fact don't think I have ever had one Plus my 50th is on that day, not the week before or after

So shall I live dangerously and book it?

I think that you have to Shell,

These things only come round once in a lifetime and Tim'll just have to sweet talk the boss. :D

Go on, you know that you want to. x

Book it. I'm sure the holiday will be alright with his boss - he can hardly put his life on hold until she comes back into the office.

And it is your birthday so its a special occasion as well.

I don't feel guilty at all Kaz, just slightly concerned about the amount of the deposit

But do you know what, I am going to take a leap of faith and book it in the morning.

he has put on his holiday form it is my 50th and there are only two people that could affect him. One is his boss who is off at the moment, but her husband is a teacher, so I would have thought she would have her main holiday when he is off and he thinks the other one has children. But she is off sick at the moment so he can't even ask her when she is off.

Do it.

You'll feel as if you've missed something if you don't.

I missed my 50th and now I have my 60th  to look "forward" to

For my 40th I planned a big party, I really enjoyed planning it and had a hall, lovely food, nice cakes, a disco which I gave them the play list for....my party, my choice and Luke was looking forward to it, he chose some music and some of his friends were coming. Then the night before my friends son knocked Lukes tooth out with a plastic golf club and the whole thing was ruined. I was so upset for him and me, I can't begin to tell you. I think that is why I have a desperate need to be away for my 50th without people trying to 'plan' me. Well that the memories of last year, my birthday was the day before my results

Oh Shell, that hurts just to read it. ({({(Shell)})})

Book it, go, and enjoy every second. If anyone deserves it, you do.
