My cousin has just sent me some photos of her weekend away in London.

She went up The Shard...and the views!! Wow!!

It is 95 floors high but the observatory is on floors 68-72.

Level 53-65 are apartments..they look pure glass to me. Mind you..if you're walking round in the nuddy no one's going to be strolling past your front window!

It also has restaurants, offices and a spa.

The views look totally am-a-zing!! And I really, really want to go up there.

Would anyone like to live on the 65th floor?

no thank you - I really don't like heights I could think of nothing worse than living that high up.... I'd be a nervous wreck every time I'd get into the lift. I had to go to the 40something floor in Canada Tower many years back and it was not something I'd like to repeat in a hurry

I don't like heights and I don't think I'd be able to go up there, it's too 'glassy'. I had a bit of a panic when we went up the CN Tower in Toronto, and I didn't like it in the World Trade Center either, for that reason. I'm fine in the Empire State Building though, because it has walls and feels more solid. My dream job would be to work in the gift shop there, if I remember correctly it's on the 80th floor.

On principal too, I wouldn't go up there - I looked into the cost just after it opened and for the four of us it'd be close to £100

I forgot to mention this little fact..it costs £24.95 for the pleasure of having your insides turned.

I know my tummy would feel a bit wibbly that high up with all that glass..but I'm too much of an eejit to not do it!

Oooh no I hate high buildings I'm fine with natural heights like cliffs, or hills, or bridges but high buildings give me terrible vertigo I panicked badly once at the top of Notre Dame, on the parapet that goes round the edge of the building......the balustrade was very low, you could easily have fallen IMO My friend had to lead me round by the hand, to the down staircase, while I closed my eyes 'cos I was convinced I would go over the edge

That happened to me on the tree walk at Kew Gardens a couple of years ago Kaz. It was worse because the floor is made of metal with holes in. I held the edge, shuffled slowly forwards and couldn't let go on the stairs, even when I met a dad and little boy coming up, I said I'm sorry I really can't let go
