Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 28 Apr 2017, 06:39

Good morning. :D :D

After the warmest and driest April since we've lived here we've got rain today and forecast for tomorrow. :D I've just been looking over the gardens and I swear the greenery looks greener!

Picking mum & dad up at 11 and taking them for a few bits in Supeco then back here for lunch. :D

Don will drop me at homework club then take them home.

Meeting Don at 6.30 for our usual Friday beers and tapas. :D :D

Have a great day everyone. :D

Morning all :)

Ally we've only had 10% of the usual April rainfall! We seem to have had a lot of drizzle that just fizzles out, no proper rain! Suits me TBH but the gardens really need some, and no doubt we 'll get a hosepipe ban this summer if it carries on

Lissie I hope you get some answers today xx

Jan, I hope you get sorted too xx

Sunshine here but still really chilly! Mick and I are going to a funeral this afternoon, someone he played rugby with years ago. Only 46, heart attack :(

Looking forward to the weekend, both my boys are coming tomorrow :D Only for the day, Chris is picking H up and driving them both over :) They'll be here late morning and going back in the evening, so we'll go out for something to eat:)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

((hugs)) Kaz; 46 is so young - that's going to be a very tough and emotional funeral I suspect. Poor family :(
Ally, it is amazing just how fresh everything looks even after just a bit of rain - and the smell of that wet fresh air; I just love it.
Lissie, enjoy your day, I do quite like early starts - I just feel you get so much more out of the day. And fingers crossed you get an answer today
Jan, good luck with the doctor and hope you get it all sorted and fingers crossed Antonia enjoys the fish and chips - so very English :D
LOL Saundra, enjoy your eyeful of men in lycra

Same as at Kaz's in Gloucester; we've had very little rain in our part of the UK this month - a bit of drizzle here and there but nothing to really soak the ground and do any good. All it's done is make it cold and wet vs just cold. I'd also not be surprised if we have a hosepipe ban if we don't get any decent rain fall soon. The garden would be quite happy.

Well usual work day for me and then I think usual evening home. Got woken up at 11pm last night (I usually am in bed at 10) by my niece who left the house key at her friends. So that'll be her job for today - back to Guildford to collect the key! Not sure if she'll be out tonight or not - we'll see. I'm off to Brighton tomorrow to spend the day with a friend and Claudia's plans last she spoke about them, was to head to B'ham to meet up with a friend before heading up to Scotland for a few days. But her plans never seem to work out as she thinks so who knows!

Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning :)
Lovely today, bright and sunny and decidedly less cold.

Yes Ally we've seen the forecast - we really are the rain gods aren't we
Not for the whole week this time though :D

I'm getting packed :D
Minnie's off for her holibobs after lunch, we're having to avoid saying Janet's name as she thinks she's going to see her right now :D
Bb phoned her yesterday to confirm what time she'd be going, as soon as he said hello Janet she was trying to get out of the door
Her usual two canine companions will be there much of the time so they will all be happy :)

Kaz how horribly sad, the shock is so huge.

Ton most visitors to the UK love fish and chips so hope Antonia does too :)
Ria I hope she does give you a few days' respite here and there' it's a long time to be having a guest, family or not x

Tomorrow we're off before I usually get up so probably won't have time to say goodbye :D
Free wifi at the apartment though :)

Good morning all, still cloudy and cold here *sigh*, I am really yearning for some warm weather at this stage. Mr Osc has gone to play golf, I need to change the bed and do some ironing. I ordered a pair of trousers online and they arrived this morning, a little bit too long so I need to take them up - if not today, then over the weekend. We are going dancing tonight.

Di, have a super holiday and give that Ally a big hug from me. This weekend, I'll start deciding what clothes we will bring on ours, in case anything needs washing or cleaning. As everything is put away clean, mostly they just need a freshen up or steam and press. It is always exciting when the suitcases come down from the attic :D
