Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 21 Apr 2017, 06:35

Good morning. :D

A busy day planned!

A very quick run first.

Next stop is Sprinter where I'm picking up a new pair of running shoes. :D :D Conor had ordered them for me for a Mother's Day present and that's them in the store now. :D

Then on to pick mum and dad up and bring them over here...but mum wants to pop into Lidl first so her wish is my command.

Lunch and a few hours at home then Don will drop me at homework club for 4.30 then take mum and dad back to their place.

I'll meet Don at 6.30 for our usual Friday beers and tapas....I'll be ready for a beer by then!

Have a great day everyone.

Have a great day Ally :)

Morning all :)

Absolutely furious here and a bit upset, I rang the doctors' just before 8 and got the closed message, kept dialling at at exactly 8 got a "welcome" message with options, pressed 1 to speak to reception to get another message saying I was 7th in a queue, finally got answered but all the appointments had gone! How does that happen? It was 8.05 by that point. I told her I had tried Wednesday, and she said, and I quote "Thursday is our best day! I can give you the number of the walk-in centre" :cute:  I am seriously considering changing surgeries :(

Sorry for the rant, have a good day xxxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Biy cloudy, but at least the wind has dropped.

A busy day for us too. Our nice neighbour has asked that we strim by her fence - she's a worry wart, it's not hot enough for fires yet - although there have been a few  - and of course, it looks better when strimmed. So Grumpy will do that later. I've done my stomp - getting quicker :Hi: :Hi: - and after the strimming and breakfast, we're off to Ourique, to pick up the repaired/new disc cutter, pop into the Chinese for more kecks and then into Pingo for salmon fishfingers.

Back home, Grumpy will lay more blocks and I'm going to paint the house sign and also the wood shed door. And I'll rinse the new things out too., now the wind has dropped. At least they'll stay on the line today

Bluddy hell Kaz - change. That's disgusting :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I've seen quite a few posts recently about the difficulty in getting a same day GP appointment. How do they know that you're going to wake up and need to see a doctor that same day? You'd think they'd have spare spaces for this. :?

It must be difficult for all concerned to accommodate everyone.

Sorry you're upset Kaz. xxxxx

I have never had trouble until this week, I've always got through and got an appointment same day. They do have spaces allocated so I just don't understand it! Maybe they are short of a GP or two, I keep reading about GP shortages.

I've just checked the website, they currently have four doctors, they did have six! The nice, older lady GP Dr Brookes has gone, retired I'd imagine.

Ally the system is in crisis, quite honestly the state of the NHS ought to be what this coming election is about, but all we hear is Brexit :(

Good morning all'
(And a Happy Birthday Your Majesty, if you happen to be reading this).

We're having a quiet day today, for a change.

Hope you are all feeling fine.

Good morning all. :D
We now have the same problem, Kaz--sometimes you have a week to wait
if you want a specific doctor.
I have signed in on Patient Access on line and log in and wait for a cancellation
to come up!! I also order repeat prescriptions on there as well.

Still have`nt heard from the doctor re Don`s MRI result so i
will phone the department this morning and see if i can get it.
We waited in all day yesterday as he said he would phone!
Still they say that no news is good news so fingers crossed.

Hope you get Don's results today Lissie, and that tnhey are good xx

I tried to sign up to that online service for a repeat script on Wednesday, it said my surgery didn't support it, despite the surgery website saying it did! I have no idea what is going on with them, chaotic comes to mind!
