At some school event last year, Miss Osc and SIL bid in a silent auction for a signed Ireland soccer jersey, and two premium level tickets for tomorrow's friendly Ireland -v- Iceland. Great excitement with Michael deciding he wanted to go with Grandad and the excitement was building. So today Miss Osc collects the tickets in the school, which is what they were told to do......she sent Mr Osc a photo of them, and he noticed that they are two single seats, ten rows apart She is trying to get in touch with the person who donated them, but what sort of idiot does that? Donates tickets for a school event when it is very likely that a schoolchild will be going, and the seats are not even together? There are tickets available and we don't mind buying two so that Michael won't be disappointed, but what a mess
Osc, If there are tickets still available could you not get in touch with the FAI or Aviva Stadium to see if it would be OK for them to sit together somewhere?
Tug a few heart strings, do a Top Cat impression, you never know....
We'll see what happens when Miss Osc hears back, WM, but that is a good suggestion. Mind you we feel it is not really up to Miss Osc, SIL or ourselves to sort it out initially, the donor should do it.
That is daft Osc. I'd advise the same as Frank, seeing as there are still tickets available give the stadium ticket office a call and see if you can do an exchange for two together.
Well it seems to be sorted. Two new tickets have been delivered and they are seats together, so thankfully all is well. Now if we could just sort tomorrow's weather forecast .........
