What a trip!! Absolutely fantastic.
A non stop round of family visits, 2 whole days with Craig and Leilani, catching up with loads of friends, eating loads of food and drinking lashings of alcohol.
Throw in the riotous trip on Valentine's night to the Two Towers brewery, cocktails at Marco Pierre White's sky bar, popping in to Glynn Purnell's bistro for a Singapore Sling, stalking a bloke who was Paul Weller's double (
) and being chatted up 3..yes 3!!!..times it was just a blast. We also went (twice) to the Old Joint Stock (it has been mooted as a venue for the meet) and I would definitely be happy to go there in June.
And the weather was lovely..sunny, bright and positively Springlike.
We landed at 10.30 this morning, I've done 3 loads of washing and Don is cooking lunch.
Tonight we're going to Paco's to watch the Porto - Malaga game and will get a takeaway campero afterwards.
I love going away...but double love coming home.
