Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 07 Jul 2016, 04:40

Good morning.

We're in bonnie Scotland. :)

The journey up on the £2 megabus was brilliant...super comfy and lovely scenery. Added bonus was Frank spotting us just as we were boarding so after introducing him to Don I was able to get another two kisses and hugs from him!

We're off into Glasgow for the day. :D

Got the city centre mural trail to do, a visit to the sensational Alex Harvey's memorial at the Winter Gardens, lunch and loads of walking. :D :D

Really looking forward to it. :D

Have a great day everyone. X

Hi Ally, Mrs S recommends the ubiquitous chip if you can get in. Have a great day. You might also be able to do more by judicious use of the clockwork orange.... :D

I'm on the bus today typing this on their wifi. Put the car in the park and ride and will fly home tonight.... Bike is still awaiting time for me to take it apart and fix it plus enough days without rain for me to feel that this is a worthwhile activity...

Mrs S is not speaking to me because she called me 8 minutes before a meeting I was hosting in a panic because the Freesat box was playing up again. I tried to explain she could use iPlayer on the TV and she went off into a rant about how she "hated" iplayer..... I have finally decided that if she only wants suppoort on her terms and no other then she can get it from someone else. Which she will find out the next time she calls in a panic...

Long day today, I arrive in Bordeaux at 9:30, we have to drive to Poitiers to pickk my bike up and then I have to ride home. The bike is pouring fuel out of the carbs onto the exhust every time I have to stop and so I want to pick it up as late as possible so I can get it home with minimal risk. Too many lights and stops during the day. So it will be after midnight when I get back.

Have a great day all..

Morning all :D

Have a lovely time in Scotland Ally.

Extra early start today, the screed lorry has just arrived so lots of activity going on.

We're going off out to do the weekly shop after brekkie, however boring it will probably be preferable to staying here

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :D :D :D

Aw Ally, how lovely that you got to see Frank again before you left, and he got to meet Don!!! :D 8-) :D Have a fantastic day today in Glasgow, it sounds great 8-) :D

Suff, good for you! Hope you get home safe and sound with the bike 8-) :)

Morning Jen :) Ugh yes, screed stinks to high heaven so I think going out is a much better idea ;) On the plus side, that means you are really getting somewhere now!! 8-) :D

Well I slept like a log last night, must have really needed it  Got a few bits to do this morning, including some food shopping at some point, as Harry is coming tonight for a week :D :D Also skyping with my cousin Zoe at 1pm, we do email as well but the Skype helps her with her English she reckons :geek:

Becky is well and enjoying herself, although it is long days, from 8.15 to 8pm, with only two days off. She is hoping to be allocated three baby racoons today, who have been bought in without their mum. This will mean 3 hourly feeds for a while  She normally sleeps very deeply so will need a loud alarm! :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

Well, here we are back at work - I'd much rather still be mooching about in Brum :D It was a lovely two days despite work being annoying, but hey ho hum.

Ally, enjoy the day in Glasgow
Safe travels later today Suff and hope you and the bike get home OK.
Jen, I'm with you - going out shopping will be preferable to being home with lots of noise from the builders; hopefully not much longer x
Kaz, I too slept like a log - dare I admit that I was in bed, lights out by 8pm; woke up once in the night and then awake this morning when the alarm went off - bliss. Not haveing clanging beer barrels makes for a much better nights sleep doesn't it :D

Well, usual work day for me and then relaxed evening at home. Painter should be there as I'm typing and he'll finish off the bathroom today so I can start putting that back in order - yay!!!! I was meant to lock the cats in the bedroom so they don't get underfoot but Harry had other ideas and I spent 15 minutes trying to catch him in the front garden. So I gave up and told Pete to make sure the front door is kept closed at all times. Thankfully he and his wife have two cats themselves so he is used to them and doesn't mind them.

Have a lovely day all

xx

Morning everyone

We've just got up    and it's another grey day   but warm Bonkers weather, here in the Alentejo (actually, the rest of Portugal too 8-)

Suff, take care xx

Well, it was rather a late night last night as we went back down to the bar to celebrate   after the footie and got back about midnight  but the builders were very good and only made a little noise

Not doing a lot today - tuna salad a la Nizette for dinner and that's about my lot

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.

It's dull here, with occasional rain.
But I'm not going far. I could do with a quiet day after yesterday.

Hope you are all O.K.

Mornig all.

And a special 'Good Morn' to the Motherwell Mama aka, Ally and her fine man, Don.

I told you that Megabus coaches were fab, and I was right. Mine was ahead of schedule so I got to pick my seat before the hoards arrived. 8-)

Suff, I know that you know what to do about the carbs so I will only say for you to keep an eye on things.

For everyone else, just have a good day.
