DIL, Soph, just phoned to say that she has got in at University in London to do her PHD.

There are only 40 places in England every year spread across four universities and London was her 1st choice. It means Mikey giving up his job at Leeds Uni and moving down to London, but he will easily get a job.

I am so chuffed I am going to have a beer..... or three!

They have each supported the other as time went on. When Mikey did his masters Soph worked. Then he worked to support Soph in her Masters, and so on.

If all goes well, and it will, there will be Dr M and Dr S in our family. I am over the moon.
