Interestingly, there weren't that many garden firework displays around here this year, compared with previous years - possibly because it wasn't a weekend? Or the cost of the things?

In contrast, we had far more Trick or Treaters this year, but we had put a "Sorry" notice up and they did respect that - we weren't bothered.

Mick got some calming tablets for him but it was still mayhem - the bangs sounded very close! Poor boy, in the end Mick took him upstairs to his study as that's on the back of the house so further away, and Pepper snuggled up to me on the sofa :?

Millie hates fireworks and we have five massive displays right outside our window - every Saturday in October. Plus all the bonfire ones.

We give her Kalmaid liquid.

Her recommended dose is 6 squirts in her food. This week she's had 6 squirts in her food every night but when we know there's a big display we double the number of squirts (vets advice. It's all natural so not doing her any harm).

She still doesn't like them but is much more chilled out.
