Hellooo!!

Still not around much, sorry........just busy! No baby yet, although they thought she had started last night, but it came to nothing. We've all been on flood watch, had extremely heavy rain on Friday and Sunday nights, there are sandbags across the entrance and further down nearer the house. Mr. Osc was outside in his dressing gown at 3am checking everything was ok both nights, and Miss Osc was wandering around checking around 4am. There is more forecast for tonight/early tomorrow, although the radar shows it being more in the southwest than the east coast - we are all paranoid about it now!

Yesterday we went into town, it feels like months since we had a good wander around. M&S had 60% off loads of stuff, so I had a good trying on session and bought two jumpers. We found that a new branch of TK Maxx had opened on the north side of the city, so had a wander around there and Mr. Osc got a nice shirt. Also looked at some furniture we were interested in.

Today we went to sort out our many boxes which we are keeping in our old neighbour's unused bedsit, and also take delivery of a bed we bought last week. Organised them and made a more comprehensive list of where each box is, plus I got some more clothes as the colder weather is coming in now. While we were there, I got a phone call from the estate agent saying that our buyers were in the house and couldn't figure out the heating, asking if I could arrange to meet them. So I told him we were actually next door, and we went in and met them! They were really nice, a couple from Sicily with virtually no English, and their daughter who lives here already, they won't be coming to live full time just yet. They were very thankful for the bottle of wine we had left for them, and we were able to sort out the heating and answer other questions they had. Neither of us was even upset at being in the house, isn't that strange? Did some ironing when we got home and now settling down to watch The Driver.

I was only wondering earlier of the baby was here! Hope he or she doesn't keep you all waiting much longer!

I agree with Kaz that it's a good sign about you being ready to move on. I always said I didn't want to move as I loved our old house and it was our family home for 16 years but I can honestly say that I haven't missed it at all. This place immediately felt like home.
