Just a moan

Postby lissie » 18 Sep 2014, 15:30

I phoned Homeserve yesterday morning to ask for a plumber to come
and mend our kitchen tap.
The girl said he would be with us between 1pm and 6pm :)
At 5.30 he phoned to say he could`nt make it but would come today
between 11am and 4pm.
We have waited in now for 2 days and he has just phoned to say
he will be here within the hour :?
OH says not to upset him by moaning as he might turn round and go

at least he called and said he couldn't make it - more than most would have done

Glad the tap is fixed now.

As a matter of interest and if you don't mind me asking, do you have homeserve cover? If yes did you have to pay for this call out or was it part of your plan?

Yes Ria we have Homeserve cover :D
It did`nt cost us anything today--even the new tap was free and they are nearly £50
We have been with them for years but we did slip up.
We have sewer trouble periodically and have always paid for it ourselves approx. £90 a time.
One of my neighbours told me she always calls Homeserve out and we did`nt realise we were
covered for that :( :( :( :(
We call them out now and they are very good and thorough and send a local drain man to you :D

thanks for that Lissie - reason I was asking is that I have cover with Corgi (who promised to match the service provided by homeserve) and I have a couple of taps that need washers replacing. They're not dripping yet, but they are very tight to open and close

An easy enough job if you know how, but I don't and I don't want to bug my brother so may well give them a ring to see if they can come out and help :-)
