Can't be done, in this country that wage would have to be topped up with benefits..................

€3.25 per hour. :o

You would have to live in a tent in the woods to survive on that!

We do it

Helped, I must admit, by the money we get from Bente and D, which is about another 1,000 ish euros a year.

I think it would be easier without a mortgage or rent, but not with UK prices!

Defo Kaz xx

No mortgage, gas is about 200 a year, lecky is 44 a month, phone is 45 (which also includes the interweb and 2 euros for the tv licence  ) car tax and insurance are a complete pittance, compared to England.

Cheese, bread and olive oil, I think are quite expensive, as is shampoo and stuff like that. But then again, I've not been back to England for over 4 years-

Cars? Mega dosh   Think of a number, double it. Stupid money

Nope, not here, can't be done.
Council tax and (very cheap) buildings/contents insurance, car tax & insurance comes to about £220 a month.

Less than £200 left for mortgage or rent, food, gas, electricity, water - without any luxuries like Tv licence, phone, fuel for car (without which cannot do said job)...
However you juggle that, it won't happen.

No, which is why people with families on minimum wage get topped up with tax credits etc.....You'd starve without!
