Beds on casters and laminate floors..

Postby cromwell » 29 Aug 2014, 13:22

Don't mix. We've bought a new bed and today was the first time I turned the mattress. Got hold of lift, gave it a good tug and whoosh! The bed (on casters) shot across the laminate floor and the bottom section cracked me right across the top of my feet. "Why, bless me" I said.*

So if anyone has any ideas about how to stop a bed from sliding around on laminate floors please let me know!

I'm lying about this bit.

Ah, bless you!

Place the casters in upturned ketchup bottle tops to stop the sliding, it's what I done.

Oh what fun to be had.

Get a couple of brushes and "row" yourselves around the room.

I knew somebody would have a cure!

Never thought of that Debs; it would be cheaper than joining a gym. :)

What happens to the ketchup?

Seriously, I have to do that. Our floors are carpeted so don't have the problem.

Can't you remove the casters from the bed? Usually they just screw on, don't they?

but if they don't - then lots of chips with tomato sauce coming up I feel

Course you do, why let carpets get in the way? Tomato ketchup can be used for all sorts of things. Just saying. ;)
